Oriole fan here. I randomly decided to check the A L EAST standings two days ago,& to my surprise...noticed that the Sox were gaining serious ground. I told a buddy whose a big time Yanks fan,& he was shocked too. Idk how long Boston can keep this up,but a contending Boston team only makes the league that more intriguing. fully healthy Red Sox team would compete for first in the AL East in my mind, their energy is so fun and even before story’s injury they were one of the best teams in baseball, even though they played worser teams.

Huge at bats by Raffy, Dom, and Masa all played a huge part in that inning. You can tell Holmes was gassed by the time he got to Yoshida.
Devers won that at bat. That's how you rattle a reliever and get his pitch count up for the guys behind you.

@cwatson42785 Duran was MOST DEFINITELY NOT a letdown or bust last season. He was electric in every game he played and only missed the latter part of the season due to an obscure toe injury.

As a Yankee fan, I have come to accept the fact since last year that Boston OWNS the Yankees. Sox fan here, for a lot of us it’s hard to know how to feel about this team because ownership doesn’t seem like they want to win. I have been a fan my whole life and seeing them disrespect lester, mookie, and xander has driven me to the point of not wanting to spend money on a ticket.

Lester - yes. Mookie - no way - he wanted out. Xander - tough call, but I think X was making a statement, and chose to leave. That's my take, and with Mookie there is no doubt.
@@rmelin13231 mookie wanted out because he is a generational talent that got low balled for years. xander was the team captain and deserved to get taken care of and could have been at a much more reasonable number than he ended up getting had ownership respected him enough to pay him when they should have
