The Rayleigh Criterion

This episode compares estimation of the separation of two point targets using a focal system and an rotational shear interferometer. We find that interferometery can estimate the separation with accuracty proprotional to \lambda/sqrt(N), beating the traditional Rayleigh criterion by several orders of magnitude.
