- Located in Idaho, Saint Anthony sand dunes are some of the tallest and fastest dunes in America. We spent a week at Idaho Dunes RV ripping around the dunes in our sandrails. If you are ever on the fence about going, just GO! You won't regret it.

I live near the St. Anthony dunes and used to ride motorcycles and ATV's there often. I gave it up because the place has gotten so crowded. It's fun, but now it's dangerous! Glad you enjoyed it, if you come back please be careful. It doesn't look it was too busy when you were here, but it can get to be an absolute zoo here! Let's just say the Sheriff and the EMT's stay pretty busy up here in the summer.
Place was empty when we were there. We're all very experienced and don't ever go out on the busy weekends. We'll be back next summer. 🤟
Agreed with everything you said in the video about waiting too long for a trip to St Anthony's. No words can describe this place.

You should come out to the Oregon dunes! Wedged right between the ocean and super dense pine forests with huge lakes everywhere, and you can drive sand cars on the beach. There’s about 40 miles of dunes and it’s absolutely amazing. The dunes have great flow and are still pretty good sized

I love G, but it's definitely not my favorite. The huge dunes, lines and flow of Dumont and St A appeal to me much more. I try to compare them though because they're all great for different reasons. 🤘🏻

Thanks! You don't need a reservation for the dunes. Lol I meant for Idaho Dunes RV, which is where we stayed. It books up well in advance and if you stay a week like we did, you'll need a reservation. 😉
No reservations needed. I am a local plenty of free rv parking in the area

Was there a few weeks ago for the first time, this place is awesome! Definitely going back. Alot different then the oregon dunes that were used to riding lol. Went a little to far right up choke cherry, went over a little razor back… nothing a welder couldn’t fix lol
We just got back yesterday from another trip. Got a bunch more videos to come. I love it up there!

I live in Northern California and fellow riders are amazed when i refer to St Anthony as the "king of all dunes" over Glamis. Dumont is my 2nd favorite sand pile. Your video does an EXCELENT job of showing how much more open and flowing this place is over Glamis.

I was there in 1968 had an old chopped VW buggy and under horse powered! I took videos with an 8 MM camera .... wind-up model ...... no batteries!! Enjoyed the dunes and the lake! Those dunes can be a little scary and dangerous in the middle of the day on what looks flat but isn’t!

We did get to the big ONES in the West, however the only thing we had at that time ( that had enough power to get the job done) was a v8 dual paddle tire dune buggy (Home made)! I know Ü would enjoy the video's if I can find them...... I'll look and send Ü a note if I am successful....... 👍
I was there at the end of July and it rained a few times in that week but not enough to kill the fun. Great place to ride itches my Glamis itch in the summer!

Thanks. It's best to go with people that are experienced but you can use a GPS or even your phone since there's usually service there.

Just found your channel and love it. What drone do you use to follow you in the dunes and have you had any problems with it? Thanks
I have it listed in the video description. It's a Skydio 2. I had one issue with it during this dune trip (it just fell out of the sky lol), but they replaced it under warranty. There have been zero issues since. I think they had a couple bad ones in the beginning. That's when I bought mine. I have an insane amount of hours on that drone and love it! You'll see plenty of other drone videos on my channel. I really like it. Super fun and it's incredible what it can capture while avoiding obstacles.

So I am curious on your thoughts. St Anthony Idaho or Glamis. Which do you prefer. I am an Idahoan. I live 75 miles from St Anthony. Wondering if Glamis would be worth the trip with St Anthony so close.
Idaho is definitely better, but Glamis is still pretty cool. Those dunes just go forever. They don't flow like St A, but it's a really fun place. You gotta experience them all.

, I’ve never been to St Anthony’s but Glamis has miles and miles of dunes I go every year during the fresh weather times and it’s never been a dissapointment always sad when it time to leave
@@LACURIOSA5 I've been to Glamis many times. I love it down there, but St A takes the cake in comparison. The dunes are huge and fast! 🤘🏻
It looks fun but it’s hard for me to Justify the extra cost in going up there when I only live 2 hours from Glamis
That's why you only do the trip every couple years. We're also only 2 hrs from Dumont. Feels good to switch it up.
It is not as good as Glamis! It is less crowded!
