Bought this last week and I simply love the experience. It's not high end of course but I love the features. I used my Note 20 Ultra to read books and take notes. But now that all the classes are done online, it is easy for me to have a much bigger screen to work with. SPen experience is great as well. Feels more like a real pen
@@ahmadhiwa8847 No I didn't consider iPad 9. I use Samsung Notes and one note for my note taking. The sync feature is greate especially because I access my notes on my phone as well.
I love my Samsung tab S6 lite. I got it to draw but found the note taking amazing. I've written stories and taken all my dungeons and dragon notes on it.
Received mine today and the experience was amazing! I love the S pen. It feels smooth writing on the screen! I also tried watching yt while taking notes on multi window, very useful.
The lack of features you stated at the end is honestly not a big deal at all. I just ordered an S6 Lite, and can't wait to recieve it! This will help me with my work for taking notes, and downloading a few thousand PDF pages instead of carrying around random binders around when I don't need to.
@@kazakukog Yes, I use it all the time for work. If your primary purpose is to download PDF files for your job to research certain things, or to use it for taking notes or to-do lists, then I highly recommend it!

I personally take my notes based on subjects, it's the method which works best with the system my university uses when teaching and assessing us, but I encourage you to try out a variety of methods and see which one works best for you! I think I'll end up taking my notes on Samsung notes app cos it looks amazing for that but use Office apps for anything I might need to submit (Yeah, I realise Onenote has some similarities but from tutorials I've seen using it I'm liking the Samsung option better). But please let me know YOUR experience with the Office software on your tab s6 - this is what concerns me most cos I had some initial problems with compatibility on my s8+ phone (mostly fixed by installing my uni's app but still some issues - which I'm hoping are just screen size related)
I love that Samsung makes there tech stuffs available and cheap, for those who are into budgeting. I just got myself a Samsung Tab A8 and I have been loving it, thou it's not fast like the S-series but it does the work, nice review btw.

I was so scared to make the wrong choice between a Tab S7+ from Samsung and a iPad Pro from Apple... I do miss the fact we don't have procreate, but WOW I'm so pleased with Samsung Notes. And surprisingly, I LOVE Samsung's keyboard, I used to only use Gboard. I just think they should add a color picker for the page color, we don't have a lot of colour to chose from. The S Pen has so much more features and such a good integration, the Good Lock Labs apps from the Galaxy Store make things so much more features packed, and it feels so native!
Infinite painter is the procreate of Android, but in my experience ( used all art program on Apple and Android) Ipis paint is the best if you turn on fade you get the best line art
You are able to choose colors of your choice for S Notes pages using the plus sign they have, and then selecting the required color from your gallery, or a picture from your gallery containing the color!

I've had a galaxy tab s6 for a couple years now, since starting uni. I used samsung notes for my first semester and it was good, but back then u couldn't get individual pages or change line spacings which made notes awkward to print. I went back to pen and paper for a while until I recently tried samsung notes again. And now with the updates, it's actually been perfect for me and I'm really enjoying it! Also, good to see other students really enjoying the app too!
I am also in med school, and I am in second semester. Honestly, the 1st semester was so easy even if you hadn't studied, you could have passed easily. But this semester is so hard that we study 3 lectures a day plus an SGD (Small Group Discussion), and all the information is new to us, so we have a lot to study and a lot to print which means spending so much money to print them and also they become very messy that it becomes hard to find notes and lectures. So I have come to a conclusion which is using an iPad or Galaxy Tab, and in my opinion I like Tab S8 Plus more than iPads. The Tab makes things much easier and tidier. You can take your Tab wherever you want and use it whenever you want and it helps you find your lectures and notes much faster with a flick of a finger.
im gonna enter into a med skool and i dont even have a laptop. and im contemplating if i should get a really good laptop or a Samsung tablet. do u have any suggestions
@@JMaxx Just for note taking purposes S6 lite or s7 FE should maybe help you ? Are quite cheap. And if you need a Notebook or Laptop, what about Apples Macbook from 2020 with the m1 chip? The m1 chip one is really a solid device. If you have the resurces for that. And if Ou want to have a compatinle Ipad i would suggest you maybe the AirPad 5
Hey loved your vid! Tab S7+ user here, have you tried out good lock? It's a Samsung app with additional features to customize the tablet, I think it's so worth it but people barely talk about it. Also about samsung notes you can also add favorite pens and have them as a row of fav tools. Hidden feature: draw any type of geometrical shape, hold the pen for 2 secs and it will create the shape without activating the shape tool

Dude I loved the video so much, everything you said was so relatable to me as a medical student 😂 I don't have ton of money to spend on ipads and iMacs, I hate my phone small screen to review subjects and I can't roll the pen on my fingers 😂😂😂
I have been using this tablet for almost 1.5 years now, the only reason i chose this over an ipad was the price. I mostly use it for note taking and it works great for that especially considering its price but it is in no way a match for an ipad. It becomes extremely slow and and laggy really fast especially if you take a lot of notes. It has gotten so worse that opening an app takes 10-15 seconds. If anyone is in the market for a tablet, just save some more and get an ipad.
@@adityagitte waiting on an ipad redesign hopefully for this year or the next since it's very outdated, I'm planning on getting the s6 lite and then get the redesign base model ipad later on. Does that seem good?
@@adityagitte Sorry but in no way the s7FE has similar specs to the s6 lite. Now the FE was originally overpriced and agree that the s6 lite is a better value.
I've had the S6 Lite for almost a week and love it so far. Purchased it hoping it could edit 4K video using Kinemaster and it does that easily. The note taking ability has been a pleasant surprise. Excellent video showing all the features also.

i am a school student and i like my s6 tab lite and that's more than enough. I also play CALL OF DUTY MOBILE on my tab and i get 60 fps. I also do drawing , Graphics designing and it's very cool.

Small screen vs an s7fe. The whole machine outsized by any of my paper notebooks. All the same will not lead you astray. A good demonstration how digital textbooks would develop with school kids. Computerization made paper second tier. Coming to you from an s6.
The SPen is unbeatable eversince even if Apple updated theirs. I mean yes there are ups using the Apple Pencil but the free SPen from Samsung is still the one to beat, number one i said its free
I'm entering clerkship in the new year and have seriously been looking at getting a tablet, but I'm not sure how it works when you're on placement. Do you fit it in your scrubs and carry it around? Do you leave it in the med student room? Get a shoulder strap? I love the S6 lite, but it's a lot bigger than my 2014 first gen iPad mini. The most recent iPad mini costs over $500 and I don't have that kind of budget! I'm not sure if having a tablet is worth it if I can't bring it on the wards... and I already have a laptop. But I've heard that pulling out your phone in front of your attending is a MASSIVE faux pas...

Great Video! But i have one question: Can you lay down your Hand (in which you hold the S Pen) on the screen while writing in the Samsung Notes App, or will it make unwanted lines etc.? Because writing is not really comfortable if you have to hold you Hand in the air so that only the S Pen touches the display.
Im still using samsung tab A8 with S Pen for about 3 years.. and i'm and istalled LecTure note, because it's free, but unfortunately this apps is not cloud base like evernote, but iit works for me.. i'd like to have tab S7.. but here in Indoneit is still tok expensivw for me.
I'd recommend the tab S7 FE for the sake of the extra power and more software updates you'd be getting. Yes it's a bit bigger, but honestly, I don't think that hinders the portability much.

This April my s6 lite will complete its 1 year with me, one of the best budget segment tablets never gave me issues everything is top notch just the display is a bit eh !!!

@@dhruvshah8845 I already bought s6 lite and I'm overall happy with it, it's a huge difference for me since it's my first tablet ever and as a university student it helps out a TON. The only thing I'm quite disappointed with is how the little battery holds, I always have my screen dimmed practically to zero yet the battery holds for about 6 hours of constant use max...I don't know, I expected it to be way better especially considering the fact I have have my screen darkened at all times. Feeling a tiny bit salty about it 😒
Do you still have the tablet? I'm thinking of buying it since it has good features and is affordable but will it stay strong woth me for another 4 years until i finish med school😆
hi. I bought my s6 lite in 2021 july. I have been using it every day since then and I can assure you I use my tablet very intensely. I take notes, watch stuff, game on it. Honestly I think it is holding pretty well. I do think i can use it 1-2 years more. It sometimes slows down. When I use it a bit much i do need to take a break and let it rest. But other than that it is really good. I connect 3 devices via bluetooth (mouse, keyboard, headphones) and it doesn't shut itself down. Of course the battery life is a litte less now but for me it is not a problem. I work on my desk near the outlet anyways (I am a med student too but I am a freshman)
I am not a student anymore so decided to get a Samsung tab S7 FE . Getting a slightly bigger and brighter screen justified it for me paying 200 euro extra for it. If your still a student and budget is a problem, this one is a safe choice.

The SPen is unbeatable eversince even if Apple updated theirs. I mean yes there are ups using the Apple Pencil but the free SPen from Samsung is still the one to beat, number one i said its free

I'm entering clerkship in the new year and have seriously been looking at getting a tablet, but I'm not sure how it works when you're on placement. Do you fit it in your scrubs and carry it around? Do you leave it in the med student room? Get a shoulder strap?
I love the S6 lite, but it's a lot bigger than my 2014 first gen iPad mini. The most recent iPad mini costs over $500 and I don't have that kind of budget! I'm not sure if having a tablet is worth it if I can't bring it on the wards... and I already have a laptop. But I've heard that pulling out your phone in front of your attending is a MASSIVE faux pas...
Note taking: Anything will do like pencil and paper as long it's not a comic book or a photo album.

Great Video! But i have one question: Can you lay down your Hand (in which you hold the S Pen) on the screen while writing in the Samsung Notes App, or will it make unwanted lines etc.? Because writing is not really comfortable if you have to hold you Hand in the air so that only the S Pen touches the display.
There is palm rejection, so u can set your hand down on the screen while using the spen! ☺️

Im still using samsung tab A8 with S Pen for about 3 years.. and i'm and istalled LecTure note, because it's free, but unfortunately this apps is not cloud base like evernote, but iit works for me.. i'd like to have tab S7.. but here in Indoneit is still tok expensivw for me.

As far as I understand it depends on the features of the software you use. If it has a "palm rejection" feature it should work. I hope this helps.

I'd recommend the tab S7 FE for the sake of the extra power and more software updates you'd be getting. Yes it's a bit bigger, but honestly, I don't think that hinders the portability much.

@@kirasu5876 heyy its 2 years old now and still works like a charm but my suggestion would be to go for something new as Samsung will stop providing updates for this tab from this year so you gotta expect only 1 new update
@@dhruvshah8845 I already bought s6 lite and I'm overall happy with it, it's a huge difference for me since it's my first tablet ever and as a university student it helps out a TON. The only thing I'm quite disappointed with is how the little battery holds, I always have my screen dimmed practically to zero yet the battery holds for about 6 hours of constant use max...I don't know, I expected it to be way better especially considering the fact I have have my screen darkened at all times. Feeling a tiny bit salty about it 😒
Where do you buy the S Pen Nibs when it wear out...

hi. I bought my s6 lite in 2021 july. I have been using it every day since then and I can assure you I use my tablet very intensely. I take notes, watch stuff, game on it. Honestly I think it is holding pretty well. I do think i can use it 1-2 years more. It sometimes slows down. When I use it a bit much i do need to take a break and let it rest. But other than that it is really good. I connect 3 devices via bluetooth (mouse, keyboard, headphones) and it doesn't shut itself down. Of course the battery life is a litte less now but for me it is not a problem. I work on my desk near the outlet anyways (I am a med student too but I am a freshman)

i was really considering this ipad but in the end i just bought the 3rd gen 11inch ipad pro
I am not a student anymore so decided to get a Samsung tab S7 FE . Getting a slightly bigger and brighter screen justified it for me paying 200 euro extra for it. If your still a student and budget is a problem, this one is a safe choice.

It depends on your writing style, amount of use, and if you have a screen protector on or not.

After about a year of use it started to lag a bit but is still usable without serious trouble.

What screen protector do you use? After I installed one on my S7+, the Fountain pen started writing terrible - as if my hands are shaking.
S7+ user here. That happened to me but only on DeX mode. To fix it try writing increasing the zoom a bit more and you'll see the difference
@@se5691 So it wasnt because of the screen protector you are using, only because DeX? Indeed, if I try to zoom in and write, handwriting looks much better. Anyways, I bought a Benzcap protector now (currently I am using Superschieldz), want to try this one.
