Black XS (2018) by Paco Rabanne is a Oriental Woody fragrance for men. Black XS was launched in 2018 and was created by Olivier Cresp and Rosendo Mateu. Top notes are Citruses, Lemon, Tagetes and Sage; middle notes are Praline, Cinnamon, Tolu Balsam and Black Cardamom; base notes are Patchouli, Black Amber, ebony tree and Palisander Rosewood. The fragrance is described as a lively woody oriental that contains raw energy, radical charm and the spirit of rock'n'roll. Its composition reportedly remains unchanged from 2005. amzn.to/3ItIQW9

I don't think I smelled Black XS but Pure XS I love
I love pure XS as well.
This was my favourite fragrance for many years. Worn on lots of lads holidays etc. Brings back loads of great memories.
It was the only fragrance I'd wear before I got into fragrances properly. I guess I just tried a few scents 15 years ago, this stood out and I kept with it.
But as I've gotten more into fragrances in the last couple of years, I've realised how weak the performance is and I can't see past that anymore.
Still love the smell of it. Bizarrely, despite trying hundreds of frags in the last couple of years, I can't find anything I like more except possibly PDM Layton.
But these days I'd rather wear something that I like a bit less, but performs a lot better. In the designer realm, you get so much more performance out of something like Spicebomb. Even Pure XS really outperforms BXS IMO. Don't get me wrong, the scent is great and women do tend to like it in a close encounter, but I think it's really faint in real world scenarios after about 30 mins.
P.S. Interesting how people get different vibes from the same scent. For me, I get a strawberry, fruity, chocolate mix.
Performance doesn’t matter much when you are wearing it for a specific situation that won’t be 12+ hours. Like a night out with this one, it’ll do just fine. If you are only wearing 1 fragrance a day and don’t want to reapply, I can see why getting something that lasts 12+ is appealing ☺️
Nick+ There's nothing I can find that even comes close...so I stay loyal. I'd rather re-apply if I have to than wear something I don't love. But as @@SoCalScents said, as long as you're not needing it to last the entire day, you'll be fine with it.
Great video I really like the house of paco rabanne I bought black XS because of this very same review and you’re right nothing quite smells like it and it’s fantastic for parties or hanging out with friends definitely would not recommend in the summer Nights though it kinda game me a headache just with 3 spays around the neck

I like it for its uniqueness. If I were to cut my collection down to 50, I’d probably include it tbh.

Love this scent, best of the XS line imo. But rockstar? I grew up in late 80's early 90's & I imagine most rockstars then smelled like cigarettes, alcohol & cocaine😅

Wanted to like this one but was one that gave me a headache and seemed to feminine with that strawberry champagne feel to it and way too sweet but it may be one of those fragrances that’s headachey and can’t get over that
I wonder how you’d like it on someone else. I know there are scents that I like smelling on someone but hate wearing
@@SoCalScents I like it on my wife and she wears it from time to time. But she’s an under sprayer only 1 maybe 2. But when she does wear it I like it because to me it’s more feminine then masculine which is also what she said which is why she does wear it sometimes. My daughter sprayed it on a few times as well as she liked it

Paco Rabanne you’ll have to look at the Invictus line. I’d take a look at platinum. It’s the newest release. The original Invictus would work as well.
Dude I was just smelling this on my shelf the other day and it made me immediately want to make plans to go out. To me not so much strawberry but more like if Coca Cola made a sexy mens fragrance, this would be it. I’d say a summer nights to early fall fragrance.

@@SoCalScents black XS doesn’t smell that sweet to me. I wonder if like the cola smell is the base note or “ dna” for all the XS flankers and each just has their own twist to it?
@@alanmolina3038 the only cola one to me is the Pure XS as it’s designed to be like Coca Cola. The others in the line are all pretty different for XS. It might just be something in it to you that is reminding you of it :)

xs night or xs black.
So they don’t share anything in common besides the XS in the name, very different fragrances in smell. Between those two probably XS night. Black XS is more of a fun night out with friends

Why would you come up with it's only a night time scent? I didn't know they made fragrance for night wear only. Why does it have to be a party scent? Why can't it be a work place scent or a day out in the mall shopping or even on a day time date? My goodness.
@@anthonylove113 not all fragrances fit all situations. Many do. Some fit other situations better.
I don't get strawberry....just a unique sexy musk.
