- An honest man is rewarded $470 by a stranger who flies across the world to thank him.
I was so touched by what Jon did, I wanted to make sure he knew it. Videos like this are fun, but very stressful to make. I love sharing inspiring messages with the world, but the struggle is in trying to make sure the video stays real and genuine. I don't make a video out of everything like this that happens to me, rather I have learned to trust my gut on which ones I should and shouldn't share.
Thanks for you support throughout the years and I would love to hear your stories about what you are doing to continue to spread goodness.

I gave $20,000 to a Nigerian Prince last year. He emailed me saying he needs money desperately to rebuild his township, and said when it's done he will share his millions with me. I really hopes he replies soon with the good news.

Funny No it wasn't. He promised to repay when he finishes rebuilding his country. It takes a long time to do that. So I just have to wait a bit. I was even sent a picture of a certificate by the Central Bank of Nigeria stating the legitimacy of this transaction.

This reminds me of when I found a wallet with $1,600 in it, and I contacted the guy and let him know I found it.
He couldn't believe that the wallet still had the $1,600 in it. He tried to give me $200 for my honesty, but I told him to use it and buy someone's groceries for them the next time he was in line. He and his wife just looked at me in amazement.
That's just the way I was raised I told him and have a great day.

At work just last Friday a customer came in, in a rush to pay a car payment and handed me 50$ too much, and although at the time i could of for sure used that money, i quickly ran outside to give the guy his money. It feels good to do the right thing, especially in a world that does so much wrong. this video gave me chills :)

I received an email from the Nigerian president offering me $150,000,000 jackpot lottery winnings (I didn't know I'd entered), all he needed was my bank details, address and credit card details (for some reason). Just to think I wouldn't have known if he hadn't contacted me! Faith in humanity restored there are still genuine, generous people out there! Thank you Mr. President!

He told me before i could tell him, "Dad, being honest and Having Integrity is when We always do the right thing, even when no one is looking"! Proud of my Son, 13 years old.

dcoy93 I think it's due to the breakdown of tightly knit communities. Because of the internet and other means making us a lot more individualistic and unique, we have lost our sense of solidarity.
When everyone in a certain community used to know eachother and all had pretty much the same interests and background, that sense of social cohesion would typically carry over to many people not directly in the in-group as well.
If someone who lived two houses down from you dropped their wallet, you wouldn't even hesitate to return it to them. Now that we've all become more self-centered people wouldn't do that as quickly (generally speaking, of course).
***** As said in my original comment, I do appreciate the positivity, and I think Stuart Edge is one of the most honest and friendly youtubers around.
However, I still feel like this video treats being honest as something out of the ordinary and almost especially honorable, while I feel being honest (returning money to the rightful owner) should be just as normal as paying your tab at a restaurant.
