- The Chicago White Sox were a formidable contender in the early 1990s, averaging 90 wins in the first four years of the decade. In 1993, the White Sox were back in the postseason for the first time since the 1983 “Winning Ugly” White Sox. During the season Frank Thomas won his first of two career MVP awards, Jack McDowell was the A.L. Cy Young winner and Gene Lamont was anointed Manager of the Year. The 1993 team won the division title and finished the season with a 94-68 record. The season was highlighted with broken records, amazing comebacks, and more.

I was there for the Fisk game, and went to a playoff game that year! This brings back great memories, thank you for posting it. 2005 gets all of the glory, as it should, but this year was awesome.
That 1993 White Sox team was stacked! Had it not been for the 1993 Blue Jays, they would have won it all.

I will say this about ToBeHurt... he's in my all-time, top five power hitters. Seriously, not to be a 'home' Big Pun intended...yet many might agree this guy had top end raw power. Back in that 20 year era only Dave Parker, Clemente, Aaron, Boog Powell, Schmidt, Stargell, Toy Cannon, Joe Torre (almost hit triple crown) and a few others were hitting the long ball 'that chicks dig' and making longer money!! Stanton, Judge is very close.

A lot of these highlights are not from 1993. Mike Cameron was not on the 93 team. Come on guys. And a lot of the highlights have them wearing the 95 patches. That’s from 1995 season. Not good.
