First of all, I dont know how this doesnt have more views. Its great quality and there arent that many Pound Disc Golf Bag review videos. I'd love to see future in the bag videos as well as your disc collection!
one of the most detailed comparison video on youtube right now! you got me thinking about getting the octohaul as well. $25 more for bigger haul pockets which can be adjusted doesnt sound too bad. i actually dont mind the extra straps on the haul pockets. Im thinking that i might actually even be able to use this bag as a day travel backpack as well
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, there isn't much a price difference between the 2 and if you don't mind the extra straps on the Haul, then that bag should be perfect for you! Especially if you're going to use it for other travel needs!!! Thanks for stopping by!
This was so unbelievably helpful. Thank you! I def think I want to go with the Haul. I would rather have the space and not need it rather than vice versa.
These are really nice, high quality bags. But at this price point i feel like they should have a built in seat. Honestly, you’d think by now, most manufacturers would be coming out with more bags that have a built in seat. Thats the number 1 complaint i hear about disc golf backpacks in general. And to cover my base’s, i know about the Ridge. I have one. Lol. Great video. Always so in depth and detailed. I appreciate that so much.
Yes, it would be nice if they came with built in seats. However, the internal frame would have to be very lightweight compared to what's currently on the market in order for people to want to carry that kind of weight at all times. But then we would probably have to pay the price for the lightweight materials (coming from hiking/backpacking/camping experience).
@@Viridisk with the help of your video I confidently purchased my first pound bag today. Went with the limited edition haul, couldn't be more excited for it!
Does the white stay relatively clean or do you have to occasionally wipe it with a rag? I always clean my discs with a towel before putting them in my bag, but coming from a grip bag I got a sweet alpine top /sage top combo going on. Slightly concerned with how dirty it will get. I don’t mind a weathered look but not a outright dirty look. Thanks!
The white does get dirty if you don't clean the discs before putting it back in the bag. So I'd recommend you continue what you were doing before with your grip bag.
What is the width of the Haul with the side pocket compression straps cinched in? How much does it compress? Does the pick-up handle at the top feel like it is always rubbing your neck/head?
With both sides cinched down, it's between 14-16 inches, depending on how aggressive you want to get with the cinch straps. The haul loop only bothers me when I tilt my head back to look up at the sky, but other than that, it doesn't rub or bother neither my head or neck. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello. So, I only have an Ax4, but I did put the Pound rainfly on it and it actually fits. If the new Ax5 isn't that much bigger than the Ax4, then the Pound rainfly should fit just fine.

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, I plan on making more videos in the future. I will certainly do an in the bag if there is interest.
This is a great comparison video!
Im designing an octohaul while watching it 😊
Thank you for taking so much time on the side by sides
You're welcome! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for stopping by and watching!!
How does that light/white colour hold up over an extended time period?
They get pretty dirty and attract dirt if you play in muddy conditions often. I'd recommend getting a side winter bag if you can.
@@Viridisk Great advice! Thanks.

@@Viridisk Cool thanks for the reply, have your white bags held up well from general usage?
@@dehavendiscgolf Yes, they have! They're also not as difficult to clean as I thought they'd be. So far, a towel with water does the job pretty well.
So basically the difference is how much side storage do you want, and the center portion of the bag is the same on both?
Yep!!!
Be honest... are you a millionaire? Haha. I've watched a lot of your videos, you have some awesome gear.
Thanks for sharing!
Lol, I am not. Just hard work and enjoy my gear. Thanks for stopping by!
I think I’d put the umbrella in that bungee cord on the bottom front I’d like to know if that’s possible?
Yeah, if you don't carry a stool around, it would be a great spot for it.

I like the octo thorp rain fly better than the grip ones. Do you know if the octo rain fly fits a grip ax5 by any chance??
Hello. So, I only have an Ax4, but I did put the Pound rainfly on it and it actually fits. If the new Ax5 isn't that much bigger than the Ax4, then the Pound rainfly should fit just fine.
Any regrets deciding to get the lighter colors? I’m worried how dirty it will get
Awesome video btw!!
Yes, the lighter colors do show mud stains well. So, I did end up getting a darker color Octothorpe for rain/winter/muddy season.
So what is total disc count for each bag with both haul pockets filled for you?
Depending on number of drivers/midrange/putter set up, 28-30 on OctoThorpe and 30-34 on OctoHaul.
Your bag and discs would cost over 1k
Lol, probably. My wallet doesn't like that point of view. 🤭
