  • Suzuki RM 80 mid 1981 XZ race number 611. Ultra low hour with its original 1981 date stamp IRC tyre on the front....The bike is advertised as expressions of interest by calling Arthur on 0415 292 870 here in Katoomba. Thanks to Saharha for specially coming up today to help with the promo of this rare low hour x race bike. The bike has been a daughter father project but it now needs to go to a moto cross collector. I hope your've enjoyed this video by Young Guns Motorcycles based in Katoomba. Cheers

1981 is an X and I had a RM250X full floater. First year for the full floater and last year for the air cooled on the 250. The 125 had water cooling in '81. I had Mark Barnett's old pratice bike. Hardly any miles, tires still had the tiots and chain sprockets were like new. There is a story as to why it had no miles. I worked at the dealer and we gave him 10 new bikes each year for practice(Suzuki paid for them),then bought them back the next year for $200 each. It was a cool set up,I could buy his one year old bikes for cost plus 10%,$225!

true but this particular model is the mid year upgrade so its classified as a XZ WHICH WAS the last air cooled model aswell. Very revolutionary

thats partly true what you say. its manufacture is 1981 and the frame is stamped as X but considering its the mid year model ( rare for Suzuki) it is officially the XZ as I,ve indicated in the description listing. Thanks though for the comments but it is rare in this condition with the original I.R.C date stamped front tyre 1981

Full floater started in the 1982 model year. I actually owned a 1981 rm 80 brand new and still had the 2 shocks in the rear.
