I recommend traveling by car.

I would agree with you, although I have only visited Istanbul for 10 days! I've lived in the US for 22 years and originally from North Macedonia. Turkey has a bit of everything to offer, a beautiful thing!
I have toured the area several times from Patara and Kekova by car hire. The beauty and heritage of the region are unforgettable. It's a fantastic place for a holiday.

Stayed in Hisaronu a couple of times, love visiting Olu Deniz and Fethiye especially at night, never knew about Kas, or Kekova will defo visit next time thanks Mick.👍🇹🇳
You can joint a Gulet cruise to see Kas & Kekova, part of the itinerary is to allow guest to hike up the Simena Castle, the view is breath taking from the top. The rewards after the hike is to get home made Turkish ice cream from the tiny cafe. My Turkish museum pass allow me the enter the castle, there was an old man who check for tickets.
Our Gulet anchored at Kas last June for 1 night. I bought 4 100% cotton Turkish towel from the store near the square and 2 hand made necklace from the local ladies who sold it by the streets. My group party from the 2 Gulet anchored next to each other, so we hitch to the party Gulet, then continued to the queen bar until 2am, slept on the deck to watch sunrise 🌅, it was epic🙂 The next morning after breakfast, we get to hike up to the ancient castle 🏰 at Kekova, the view from the top was breath taking! Crystal clear turquoise sea, blue sky. I had freshly made mulberry icecream on the way back to our Gulet.
Hello Mick, thanks to your video, my wife and I came to Kas, and have had so much fun! We did the Kekova boat tour today, and it was sublime. Roaming around Kas makes me want to spend an eternity here. Tesekkur ederim! 😊
I absolutely love Turkey with it's beautiful landscapes and unbelievably restored and cared for early history. I would live there in a flash. Hope to visit again once travel is allowed.
Mick Amca I am Brazilian livingfir 26 years in Japan tmarried with Turkish man and we have two kids 6 years we bought a house in Bodrum I can’t wait to move on to Turkey, your video is really make a huge change to me to go on! Thanks a lot !
Loved the Outtake, always happens when you are having an interesting conversation. However it’s a great sound that captures your heart. Well it does mine. Another wonderful Video,Thank you. Patricia 🏴🏴🏴
I used to watch the sunset from the top of the mountain behind the town and when the sun would disappear into the sea it would be like a starter's gun and I would run down the Lycian way (ancient road from Phellos to Anti-Phellos) back to the town and just get there before it got too dark to see the trail. About half way up the mountain off the trail behind some trees and thorny shrubs is a carving in stone of a Lycian warrior with his shield but 99% of people walk right by it. There are Ibex that live on the mountain and if you are lucky you may see them climbing and jumping from rock to rock. The top of the mountain is a plateau that has no drainage other than over the side of the mountain itself. The was a time when a major storm system hit and it basically rained non stop for almost a week during the winter. The lake on the top of the mountain grew so big it overflowed and the dry canyons became rivers going down the mountain toward the town. The point where the water spilled over the side at the top of the mountain was about a 50 waterfall and there was so much water it went over the highway and flooded through the town. People were sea kayaking through the streets.
l really miss a lot, Kas, Kekova, Tekirova, Kemer.Such an amazing places. There are a lot of historical and cultural places there.Thank you for sharing.. Have an enjoy time..

Ohh Mick, here in my corona- lonelyness without my girlfriend, who has travelled to Greenland, to help the population, which has a large need for dentists, dentourist and alike, I rreeeeaaaaly enjoy your faboulous and extremely informative videos with you and your lovely wife. It´s soooo enjoyable, but it also tricker a very large need for my paradise, Turkey. Most of the greatest moments I have had in my life with my former wife and my much younger girlfriend, belongs to vaccations in Turkey. There was a great period a couple of years ago we had the oppotunity to visit Turkey 3-5 times a year. OMG .... loooovely times. Keep up your fantastic post. I love them. Have a nice day :-)
Hi Mick- Love your videos! During these tough times it sure is nice to live vicariously through your channel. I would love to see more of the scenery along the way during your drives from town to town if possible. Thanks again!!
Great video Mick amca :) Kaş and Kekova are my most favorite of all spots in Turkey. I remember last year swimming/snorkeling wasn't allowed around the sunken city?! 10:26
Thanks Mick. We visited Kas many years ago and thought it was too quiet with nothing going on, let alone nice bars restaurants and quint shops. Now we have seen it, I think we would try it again. We caught the bus from Fethiye which was easy enough, but stayed in Kalcan which we thought was lovely for a night away. I drooled over the cuppa or sea bream that was being prepared. My favourite fish BBQ’d! When this pandemic is over, will it be? We shall be coming right back to Fethiye and Calis. Thanks for your wonderful vlogs or Fethiye and surrounds, sitting here in lockdown it is lovely to dream!

I went on the Kekova boat trip from Kaş. Beware climbing up to the castle in the midday heat. I did it and when I got back to the boat my head was swimming. The captain immediately ordered me into sea to cool off. It worked, but it was a lesson learnt.
This is a great video of Kas and the area. I used to live in Kas many years ago. In fact, I met my wife there and got married in Kalkan, not too far away. I still have a few friends there. I shall return for a nice holiday :)
Mick Amca and Trudie Yenge :) Now that you have been living in Turkey for many years have you noticed different types of "call to prayer (ezan)s" ? Based on what i have heard, you must have been filming this video on a Friday at noon or if that wasn't the case, then that type of Ezan is actually announced when there will be a Funeral at the mosque.
