I love your comment about the wine! Natutunan namin ng asawa ko nung nag wine tasting kami na may mga wine na nag enhance ng sweetness/fruity flavor. Meron din nag neutralize ng fat or creaminess at meron din ung nag enhance ng creaminess. And others cleanse the palette. Hindi pala para maglasing lang lol. Love your videos!!!

Your version looks buonissima too, Chef RV. But if you really want to make the “original” carbonara, you will only need 5 ingredients (guanciale, pecorino romano, eggs, pasta, black pepper). No need to put anything else, just those 5 ingredients. And usually we toss the al dente pasta directly to the pan where you rendered the fat of the guanciale (making sure though that you already turned off the fire when tossing). You won’t want to discard the fat or the oil that you got from the guanciale, that adds an important and a delicious taste to the carbonara. While tossing the pasta in the pan, put some water pasta and that’s gonna create that creamy texture of your carbonara. Later, you can then add your egg yolks and pecorino cheese mixture into the pan. Toss a little more and that’s it. You’ll have the original, fast, simple and easy Italian carbonara.
I only watch cooking videos na hindi nag sasalita yong nagluluto. I really get irritated kasi but I started to love your videos because you're so fun to watch. I like the way you explain while cooking. I never get irritated. So excited to try your recipes!
Hahaha.. nice one but slow roast the guanciale and don't throw anything. Me, I top-up 1 ladle of pasta soup to guanciale and bring it to boil (much better flavour). Turn off and add the pasta. No egg white much better and the cheese should be Pecorino. If you have Pecorino cheese and guanciale - PERFECT Italian pasta. Lovely - watching from Central London.

Actually Italians find it offensive that Filipinos are calling it carbonara. They said just call it something else, but not carbonara. They cringe with the thought of putting cream on it, just like pineapple on pizza😅😅They easily take offense when it comes to their food, they don't like it being murdered 🤣🤣(1/4 Italian here)😆😆
I agree that “Filipino Style Carbonara” should just change its name to something else. It has different ingredients from the original Italian carbonara. So its a totally different dish that deserves a different name

There are cured beef bacon that you can use. Chicken ham can be use as well. The choices will be a disgrace for the italians but then again you need improvise 🤣 not all can eat pork. As long as you get the same cheese. The cheese is the most important. ❤❤❤

No need to put anything else, just those 5 ingredients. And usually we toss the al dente pasta directly to the pan where you rendered the fat of the guanciale (making sure though that you already turned off the fire when tossing). You won’t want to discard the fat or the oil that you got from the guanciale, that adds an important and a delicious taste to the carbonara. While tossing the pasta in the pan, put some water pasta and that’s gonna create that creamy texture of your carbonara. Later, you can then add your egg yolks and pecorino cheese mixture into the pan. Toss a little more and that’s it. You’ll have the original, fast, simple and easy Italian carbonara.

Hahaha.. nice one but slow roast the guanciale and don't throw anything. Me, I top-up 1 ladle of pasta soup to guanciale and bring it to boil (much better flavour). Turn off and add the pasta. No egg white much better and the cheese should be Pecorino. If you have Pecorino cheese and guanciale - PERFECT Italian pasta. Lovely - watching from Central London.

Actually Italians find it offensive that Filipinos are calling it carbonara. They said just call it something else, but not carbonara. They cringe with the thought of putting cream on it, just like pineapple on pizza😅😅They easily take offense when it comes to their food, they don't like it being murdered 🤣🤣(1/4 Italian here)😆😆
I agree that “Filipino Style Carbonara” should just change its name to something else. It has different ingredients from the original Italian carbonara. So its a totally different dish that deserves a different name

There are cured beef bacon that you can use. Chicken ham can be use as well. The choices will be a disgrace for the italians but then again you need improvise 🤣 not all can eat pork. As long as you get the same cheese. The cheese is the most important. ❤❤❤
