Great video. My blower was making horrible noises and clearly on its last legs. Replacement was as easy as you demonstrated. Was able to do it without disconnecting the stove pipe. Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I had shoulder surgery so I asked my wife if she would give it a shot with one hand from me in our P61a. Without removing the stove pipe, we got 'er done! Our replacement fan ground connector was female. The ground connector on the old motor was male fitting the stove male ground. We didn't have spare connectors so we spliced the old one in.
Great tutorial. My blower completely died and needs to be replaced. This was extremely helpful. Thank you. P.S. Love the glass of wine. When faced with a problem sometimes you just have to drink about it a little bit.
Very useful video. Well made, I like that you get right to the point without a lot of useless chatter. Could use a little more light on the subject area but you do an awesome job of explaining. Unfortunately, this stove is pretty heavy for one person so I'm going to attempt to change the distribution blower without spinning it around. My distribution motor is starting to squeak on occasion which, gets pretty annoying. I may end up disconnecting it and moving the stove 90 degrees for easier access anyway but I'm going to give it a shot as soon as the weather breaks. Any ideas as to whether the Dayton Mfr. Model # 2C647 sold on Grainger's site would match up to my P61a? I like the price of $69 much better than the OEM's price of $160 but I surely don't want to do this again in a year. I installed my stove in 2005. Other than routine cleaning regularly, a flame guide and 2 igniters (both the same year), the stove has been great.
Thank you for this helpful video! I have a Harman P68 and am having trouble knowing where to lubricate the combustion blower and distribution blow. Would a couple drops of oil on the shafts of the motors in the back work?
One of the blowers on my P38+ pellet stove is failing, I think due to cracked bearings judging from the sound. Do I need to run it with a fire going to replicate the sound and determine which one is broken? I'd like to work on it away from the wall.
a question..... i have an older P61a with a dayton blower. i disconnected the wires to clean the blower and now i don't know which wire goes where. the stove harness has a green a white and a blue. the blower motor has a green a black and a yellow. the wiring diagram in the stove doesn't give the motor wire colors. can somebody help me?
hi, talked to lot of harman P owners and none of them have the rubber damper that is on the blower. they tell me it's not even on a Harman Pseries parts list..... is the unit u are working on a new or latest Pseries?
I would say "So easy a Caveman could do it " but after doing some research i found out that Caveman were famous for screwing up blower motor replacements 😎 ..
Your video would have been better and much easier to view if you had a light shining on to the distribution motor so we could see the bolts, etc. I couldn't see a thing with the motor being black and the background being back as well. And shut off the music!

Had to have blower motor changed today. Stove is 3 months over the 2 year warranty. Praying they cover it!

Wish the XXV was so simple.
You need to get in closer to the stove
