    Is it important to remember dates of the cases for an exam?

      If you can remember the date, include it. But don’t worry if you can’t remember the dates, as long as you have the full case name.

    why popping bone out of your skin is classified as wound why not GBH and it might be more painful than just a broken bone ?

      It’s just the way that a wound has been defined in the case law. Remember that this is a very old Act of Parliament. Technically it doesn’t matter if it’s classed as a wound or GBH, it will be the same offence. But obviously as a lawyer, you need to be able to identify whether there’s a break in the continuity of the whole skin (wound) or whether it’s GBH.

    Hallo, can i just clarify that Rowe 2018 was sending text messages and not Golding 2014? Golding was transmitting genital herpes and was charged under s20 where Rowe was charged for life? Am i correct?

      Hello… Darryl Rowe was the first man in the country to be found guilty of intentionally setting out to spread HIV. He did send text messages, which helped to prove his intention for s.18. Golding was charged with s.20 after infecting his girlfriend with herpes.

    how would you prove the mens rea?

    • @thelawteacher5724
      @thelawteacher5724  9 месяцев назад

      Hello… I’m not quite sure what you mean? Section 18 requires specific intent, so that is the harder offence to prove.

      So when applying the mens rea of s.18 how do I show that the defendant intended or was reckless in causing some harm@@thelawteacher5724
