    hearing him talk about a pension and paint for his own pleasure makes it so sad that he got stabbed in his own home by a 19 year old kid wanting to borrow 100 bucks and he never was able to live out his old days the way he maybe envisioned them.

    • @ChemicalFire90
      @ChemicalFire90 8 лет назад +55

      +EVIL9000 Even more sad is the fact that he said he didn't even start making money until the 1970's. That would have made him at least 40 at the time. 35 years separate that from 2005 when he died. He also said in this interview that he stopped exhibiting his work because he wasn't enjoying it, that he wasn't painting for himself and that he wanted to live a quiet life and just be happy painting. He only had another 8 years of happiness after this interview.

    There's some people that you can only stand in awe of, you can't reach them or hope to catch a clear glimpse of their magnitude, in their own way they transcend everything you have even imagined and redefine the limits of your world, and it's not even cringe to sound this melodramatic describing this man because you really need to at least say that much to do him justice.

      +Jack Wyldeck He did, indeed. In his letters Beksinski always complainted about stupid jourinalists' questions and criticts "interpretations" of his works. Mr. Beksinski actually loathed all "interpretations", especially about "war", "communists", "auschwitz", "freedom", "loneliness" and other cliches his paintings were linked to.

    Wydaje mi się że jego sposób malowania jest zbliżony do tego jak działają algorytmy sztucznej inteligencji w dzisiejszej grafice. Łączył różne rzeczy, przerabiał, dopracowywał.. Można powiedzieć że generował obrazy. W jego pracach jest to szczególnie widoczne.
    Żeby działać w taki sposób, i robić to na takim poziomie, trzeba być obdarzonym wielką inteligencją żeby nie powiedzieć geniuszem.

    That thing about how showy paints don't mean much, but so-called 'dirty' paints bring in more hues, is something I think that can be brought into other mediums. I'm thinking about writing particularly, since you can write with all this showy Latin and French and Greek and yet get sorely little across, but if you write in, you know, **English**, what you mean and what you wish to bring out from the writing stands out more.

    Except his great artistic legacy Mr. Beksiński raised a son Tomasz, who was an accomplished, iconic and famous, musical radio presenter. Obviously, mostly a lover of gloomy, gothic rock ....An excellent Anglicist who has left behind congenial translations of Monty Python's films. He committed suicide being around 40 in 1999 with the message uttered in his last radio show he is tired and disgusted of the world that is moving towards computer-based secondary barbarization ... already then, long before the smart phones , Facebook and fake news....

    Każda początkowa technika wynika z lenistwa i braku cierpliwości...Dopiero po tym gdy malarz przestanie gonić za trendem i tym co mu się podoba staje się to jego techniką dopracowaną,jest sobą i może srać na innych swoimi wizjami
    Tutaj widać zmęczenie pana Beksińskiego związane z postprodukcją,aż krzyczy mam dość kontaktowania się z krytykami,artystami,i innymi samozwańczymi interpretacjami swoich obrazów ,jestem stary i chcę iść usiąść na fotel ,otworzyć piwo i mieć wyjebane jajca na wszystko :)
    Interpretacja to jest to z czym każdy wystawca obrazów się męczy ...

    Beksiński to artysta który był narzędziem w rękach nie znanej istoty. Nie on planował i nie on wykańczał obrazy. Właściwie nawet on nie pokusił się o interpretację własnych dzieł. To było wyjątkowe i nie do skopiowania ...
