I killed the man at the shack during my first encounter… something didn’t seem right. Then months later, videos were released showing what happened if you went into the house! So not that it mattered to me, but it justified the killing of the man. We can’t have ole Arthur getting violated.
I spent 2 hours after that encounter trying to find that shack so I could shoot that son of a B! I wish I had just shot him like you did, then I wouldn’t of had nightmares for a week! 😰

When I went back to Sunny’s shack and he ran back inside to hide, I shot out a high window on the side of the shack then threw a stick of dynamite through it.
I remember the very first time I heard the ghostly voices in John’s memories at old camps and I got the most eerie chills.. every hair was standing in the back of my neck. It genuinely caught me off guard lol

The name of the specific moves he is saying is known in chess as the “Dutch defense”. Probably more of an Easter egg than anything but still kinda cool. Also implies that Dutch played chess in his life. And played enough to know specific moves.
Unique Female fertility statue has a secret....there are two of those. U can find another one from the road side camp in Cumberland forest. On the same blanket there is also the green mask from undead nightmare

Instead they would take patches of sod and mud and stack them to form walls and roofs. You can see this in-game as the building in question appears to have layers of grass built up.
I'm always curious how Bill "met" a dead guy? I mean did Bill actually show up in between the few minutes it took me to get back and feed the guy to the Alligators? Doesn't add up.

Rockstar missed a perfect opportunity to make a fertility totem side mission, they could have had Arthur do the mission find the totems give it to a couple who can't get pregnant and then at the end of the game have John be walking past a doctor's office and hear someone cursing Arthur Morgan because now they're about to be giving birth to their 25th + kid

You'll find the corpse of an old woman and beneath her chair a box with a fertility statue. In every of my playthroughs, the corpse of the woman vanished after I picked the statue up.
The female fertility statue, I stumbled across a friendly camper once that had the statue. There were several items at his camp I’ve never seen at any other campsites. I already acquired the statue at the brothel so I was unable to take it from the campsite. The jade mask was also mixed in with the campers items, unfortunately wasn’t highlighted and unable to acquire. I’m sure others have encountered this camper, but out of all the RDR2 content I watch, I don’t believe I’ve seen it mentioned.
My guess for the frozen couple that they came from Canada and wanted to be in America for whatever reason. They were having trouble getting through the west grizzlies. And since when you find them they dont have much at their camp and a dead horse. So the only option they had was to freeze to death. And the map was settlements so they could make a new life in one of the towns. I think they would have lived if rockstar put tempest rim and a little town in tempest rim in the game.
If you are familiar with the story of the Donner Party I wonder if it could be a reference to that. Most people understand they ate each other and don't know the rest of the story. Essentially they had a map to the west and headed out from the Midwest on a cross country trek to California with nothing more than a map that the clung to. They then got caught in the mountains in California through a brutal winter and many of them froze to death. I have to wonder if its a nod to their expedition.
By the late 1880s, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia were all controlled by France. It was called French Indochina. The newspapers found in Sonny's Shack are referring to that.
9:36 If you stay nearby and pass time hunting or sleeping(I recommend using the set camp function right at the site to avoid messing this up), the body eventually goes through reverse rotting. Every couple in game days, it will change state when you come back there. I saw it revert to bones, disappear, reappear looking like that ugly half human xenomorph from the Joss Whedon Aliens movie, and finally: Partially decomposed man, compete with hair and clothing, stuck in a T-pose with his body below the waist embedded in the ground. I regretfully don't have footage of the first time I noticed this, only still images. I have managed to get other things to come back from rotting away to become a partially rotten corpse stuck standing in the ground like wolves, deer, and bounty hunters. This was rare though and many times nothing regenerated. It might be due to piling too many corpses in the same place. This weird glitch isn't unique to that spot though, so I can't be sure it was intentional. I've had the same thing happen with deer by accident while near Limpany.
I got easily over 500+hrs in this game already and havnt even been to St.Denis yet😅...literally been finding/doing every single thing you can do other than letting micah out of jail lol...hes gonna be in there a while. With how detailed this game is i believe if you have certain unique items before a certain point in the story something may happen that either nobody or not too many people found out yet. Got all meteorites/gemstones/gold bars/all legendary items/satchels/fully upgraded camp/just about every fish(even without fishing pole😅)/and fully stocked on just about every item you can even have in your inventory...fertility statues may help with mary linton mission🤷, meterorites/gemstones may help with arthurs tb, ect...crazy how much they could even put into this game.
At this rate, you might as well spoil us all and put together a 2hr in-depth review of this Masterpiece, it's characters, world, secrets/Easter eggs and potential would could have been if Rockstar put as much post release effort as they did GTA 5.

I have then gone back to the Roadside Brothel and there has been another female fertility statue in the lock box for me to take. I don't know about the male fertility statue though because I don't think I've been back to that location again yet, but I am playing through the game again at the moment so I will try to see if there's another one up the chimney 😆👍
Secret #9 is referencing a similar situation about WW2. Japanese soldiers were on an isolated island and continued to stand post for decades after the war. They even shot at US military and had to be played the concession speech by Hirohito before they turned over their weapons

I've replayed a good 4 times now, spending extensive time with John and have never gotten the camp memories to trigger.

I got one too! In the epilogue MICHAEL Geddes is written above the entrance to Pronghorn ranch, but his actual Name is DAVID!
I went back to the pagan sacrifice a few minutes after grabbing the mask, and the body was laying on the ground. That was kinda weird to see,
On my gameplay, the body was eaten by some kind of a fox or wolf then it run a way. I came back to search the whale bones on that area.
If I had a nickle for every time I ran into a hick living in a tree, I'd have 2 nickles. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

The window up high in hill house is part of a treasure hunt. Start at the obelisk or monument in tall tree.
You should do the two unique gemstones you can pick up from that huge eagles nest that you can only get to by parkour across a certain mountain
