Getting married was the single handed worst thing I’ve ever done, lessened learned but I’ll never fully recover financially. There’s not a young man that crosses my path that I don’t spread awareness of the dangers and how one decision bad can turn your life upside down.

As a 56 year old female I can say our sexual drive goes down too. I love being alone! I work around people all day, so on my time off, I love it being me and my two pups. The thought of meeting a stranger on an app and then having to meet up and strike up conversation isn’t appealing to me at all. I know people who always have to be with another person to be ok…don’t get it. Being single is perfect!

Lots of my friends are married and have slowly dissappeared from taking the adventures or being with my friends like we used to. If you do get married its smart and wise to get a prenup. I dont see myself ever getting married though or having kids. Im 30 and i dont feel that desire. Omg! I get the same thing!! I am 48 and I work at a hospital in Northern Colorado and everybody (especially old people)wants to hook me up or know why I’m single and do I want to grow old alone. I’ve been there done that and I think ur right about hormones. I’m really content where I am in life and I have no desire to date. I do have a 9 yr old (& I’m scared to death that she’s in public schools in liberal Colorado) and her dad and I do 50/50 and we were never married. Fyi…I pay him child support bcuz I make more so maybe courts are different now. But like I said, I’ve got all I want in life and more and I don’t need help from anybody. I’m excited to live in a beautiful place to explore. I move here from Nebraska a few yrs ago. And here’s what I tell people that can’t believe I’m perfectly content being alone, I actually have the perfect man, a 5 yr old Chocolate lab!! He’s the best boy ever!! ❤

Hey Celi! Yeah, I totally agree with you. Being content in life is such a great spot to be in. Sure, I'd love to have an awesome gal by my side but I never sit around thinking about it or feel as though I'm missing out. I chose to spend my time focusing on how to make my life/situation better and love all the satisfaction gained from these efforts. I think the dating landscape has changed so much over the past 10 years that I'm literally a fish out of water when it comes to online apps. Never once have I met a gal from an online site/app...however in person I'm golden. And dogs are the PERFECT companions for literally everyone. I think if everyone in the world owned a dog then this planet would be a much kinder place.

The subject of having kids, when I was in my 20s I wanted to get married and start a family like a lot of people, now that I'm 58 I'm glad I never did neither one, poor kids have to grow up in this world and struggle through this life, get old and die. I think this world has enough people on it. In my life I've seen the population double from what it was 60s and 70s, it's getting too crowded here in So California. I worked for a guy in 86 as a painter. He said to me one day 'Steve don't ever get married or have kids, I must have taken his advice.😊

As a mom who has a 21yr old and a 19yr old I would LOVE this😅 lifestyle over the way my kids were raised. Stationary but devices mandatory for school and at school. I didn't know what RUclips was until my kid was in like grade 2 and like "today we watched RUclips videos at school". School supplies are like "an iPad you can't afford". I agree though with the being "alone" thing. I think it's sad how few ppl are able to be alone. We saw this in 2020 with ppl panicking after a week of lockdown and I was like "yes books!" It's a bit weird BC I'm on disability for PTSD. Ive never been in a long term real life relationship since and it's been nearly 20 years BC of the trauma I endured. I'll admit, I find you attractive but it's BC you're a MAN. Real men (no offense to any on here) are hard to find. Most are stuck to gaming systems and/or have no clue how to work some basic tools. Your "manliness" (made myself laugh 😂) is BC your not afraid of hard work, the everyday mundane and seeing the beauty in it all. I was a teen Mom in an incredibly religious and abusive relationship, so perhaps that's why I don't think it would be as difficult to raise a child the way you live. That said, my grandpa had a grade 3 education and was one of the smartest people I ever knew. He did all the math, run his own business, and was covered in grease and dirt that's probably still part of him. We put too much into the ratings of things and the busyness of life instead of into the quality time that love gives.
When I was pregnant with my first, a week after I found out 9/11 happened. I considered aborting. Now that I look back though, my grandma was born in war times and they immigrated when he was 3. There have been depressions and recessions in pretty much every era. If we waited on world peace to procreate, the human race would've been gone a very long time ago. I'm not saying you're wrong for having your feelings. I'm going enough I could still have a few babies and yet I don't think I want to (if it happened I would keep it) simply BC I am almost 40. I don't want to be 60 when my kid is becoming a legal adult. I don't want to be 70 or 80 when they decide to get married or have their own child. My brother is a few years younger than me and he doesn't want to marry or have kids and while it makes me sad that there are no nieces or nephews for me his views are similar to yours, the cost and the state of the world etc.
To me the saddest part of it all is that when I was a child the "it takes a village" mentality was alive and well and now ppl live in their own bubbles, with fences, and never even learning their neighbors names never mind being a part of the "village" in raising each other up. I feel like the lifestyle you're living has that mentality more than anyone else.
Stay true to yourself and if/when the universe decides you need a partner you'll find the perfect one, by accident! I'm happily single and the dating field is sparse, so I just always have a solid companion in my dog lol 🤣

Hi Brian and Sierra!! It is awesome to see you two kicking back in the tent again (I also really love how you've got your main camp developed!).
This is an awesome video! Ha...not what I usually come to your channel, or anybody else's, for that matter, but it is a great topic!
Kids- I wasn't set on having them. Once I did it, I'd never want it any other way. And...I am lucky as I have 2 great kids that are in their mid 20s now.....and neither of them are living in the basement hehehehe.
Dating/marriage- Yes...I do like having a mate. And, my wife and I have been married for 34 years. I kind of only do what you do for basically a couple of days per month; and I am solo with my dog during those times typically. If I became single, I'd probably wrap up my work career and head out such as you do more permanently.
You are not kidding! It is really daunting to think of having kids these days. There are so many things that put this world on a ledge. I am pretty well traveled around the world due to my time in the military. I've learned that people from the different areas really mostly want the same things-- love, roof, food, security, good life, healthy kids, etc. It is only when our governments get involved, as well as some learned prejudices, that things really get off script and degrade. Ha...I was laying in my sniper position in Iraq, in a city. We had been watching a couple of merchants for activity. I remember, vividly, a couple pulled up to one of the stores. The store was open front, so they could both get out of the car and talk to the merchant; and they had 2 kids that stayed in the back seat of the car which were in clear view of the parents. The brother and sister were probably like 5 years old. And they were doing almost exactly what 2 kids in america would do; they were fighting over the other being on their side of the seat. Anyways...yes, I wish the world would simmer down and we all could pursue life as we chose.
    Safe travels!

I love my daughters, and would never change a thing. They are incredible young women I am so, so proud of. I'm glad I raised them before the world went so bad.
But I gotta say, from a long term battered woman with children's perspective, the courts are just plain f'd up. For us and other wives who are DV survivors, courts are totally slated in the batterer's favor. They take kids from the protective mom and give them to the batterer husband who has money for the attorney, and isnt damaged from the man's abuse. Then they dont have to pay to support the kids they made. Its still a man's world for sure.💜

Wow!!! Excellent content! The content here very much resonates 100% with me. I did not "grow up, I was raised". I love women, ...not all since I am picky. I am 65 years old, don't look or feel 65. I have dated the "old fashioned way" and without the "help" of the Internet. Never married because I always had found women, those I had picked, problematic. I attracted the ones who needed "fixing" unfortunately. Luckily, never married. As you stated, a lady partner would be great to enhance Ones life, but the wrong one could destroy it. Meanwhile, it is good to have been single all my life. I do get lonely, but my hobbies and friends take up the slack and I especially find it important to "pay it forward" most all the time. I have everything a woman could ever want, I have freedom to travel and do whatever I want as I am responsible. I do long for "community" a source of family like the RTR though. Video content = A+

Hey there, Brian. Marriage is not for everyone. My brother is almost 65 and has never been married. Marriage has been good for me. I've been married for almost 45 years. I can't imagine not being hitched. Not to the same woman, but 7 years to the first and 38 years to this one. All that I can say is that my present wife is tougher than number one. I'm thankful that I've got such a good woman. Take care, my friend. Vaughn

I seem to be the minority here, i absolutely love being married! It's never been easy but having someone to share in all the ups & downs of life is amazing. I'm a lot more outdoorsy than him (hey that why i subscribe!) But we compliment each other well. I hope you eventually get to find a partner to share in all your passions together!

Divorce in general is all around a terrible experience, for everyone. (And maybe for some freeing) When my girlfriends had gone through it, I never new how long, difficult and expensive as hell it is just to divorce someone. In other places in the world, you gotta be separated for a year or years for an official divorce. I also think people do civil unions/domestic partnership these days, per my observations. I still hold some things traditional and would like to get married one day. But I also love my singleness , and I sense more people are healing themselves (if I make any sense) however- I'm in no rush. As for me, the millennial , I just want my husband to be amazon primed delivered anyway lol

The odd thing is I used to be such a "people person" but slowly I shifted to spending time solo. I love going on solo adventures with my furry family member and spending time alone. I look at it as a superpower because most people I know can't sit still for hours and just "be". Being comfortable with yourself is important and I'm very thankful for all the lessons this lifestyle has taught me. Have a great Tuesday! ~ Brian & Meadow

Being single is great. I haven’t dated in the last four years and I’ve never been happier. I’ve done all my crazy sex stuff in my younger years, it would just be nice to have someone to do things with such as camping and nature stuff and maybe someone just to snuggle with. I enjoy my independence very much. I do what I want, when I want. I have a son who is 29 years old in the love of my life. I’m blessed to have had him. But now it’s time for me. By the way I’m just under 5’2 😉 lol cheers Brian. Good for you my friend.

When I got divorced a long time ago, I got $96 child support for 2 kids because my husband couldn’t afford more since he had a new truck to pay for. I have always been the main support for my family so I had to buy my house that I paid down payment on and all the payments on back at the divorce. I’m female and decided it’s just easier to be single. No drama. No cheating. If I’m broke now, it’s because I spent all my money on things I want not someone else spending it.

Hey Jeremy, I completely agree. I truly love my single life, I date when I want and choose to be free of any responsibilities. I love being an uncle to my nephews and nieces. They are awesome. However, it's not my cup of tea to be a Father other than the furry family members in my life. I truly applaud those who are raising America's future and wish them good fortune. Very happy with the freedom in my life, it sounds like we are cut from the same cloth. Wishing you all the best ~ Brian

I've always wanted to live in a camper but my X was totally against the idea. But obviously I experienced a nasty divorce and yes she took half of everything and got custody of my kids.
I have four years left until my youngest turns eighteen and the court ordered parenting time ends. And then nothing is going to stop me from moving into a camper. Of course I'll be down sizing with my worldly possessions. And then start off with blm camping.
