Thank you I learned to do ALT # to get the number of rows of decoded stations? I saw you had 4 lines and couldn't figure out how to do that. Watched the video and thought you did a great job of explaining everything. DX Lab products work the same as HRD for logging with this add-on program. Well done! Thank you. Barry VE6TN
Thank you so much, Barry!
Great video, Plain simple explanations. Unlike several others I have watched trying to get to grips with the software. Thank's KG4UXR
Thanks!
Thanks so much I have HRD and didn't know how to interface appreciate this video looking forward to implementing
+Philip Chandler excellent!! The current version will do it natively, but I still find JTAlert very helpful.
JT Alert is a must have for FT8/4.
so touching for an excellent video
Thank you so much!
This is a great add on. Thanks so much for the video very well done!
+Opticalman1 Jeff glad you like it!
That was very helpful, Thanks
David Enright great! Glad it helped!
.
he's a talker - the subject video starts at the 7 minute mark. :-)
Thanks I was falling asleep! :D
Yea welcome to FT8
Thanks for the great video Brad. Almost all ham related tutorial videos only address the simplest basics of getting whatever it is working then stop. There's almost never anything on intermediate (let alone advanced) USING the thing. There was at least a little more "meat" than others I've watched covering JTAlert in yours. I very much hope you do the video on HRDlog you mentioned and cover it deeper than the bare basics. That one is a particular problem because there is very little material available about it, it's on-line support is "incomplete" (to say the least) and the people who run it don't respond to support requests. In my own case, I have it up and running (and love it!) but I get strange statements in the email notices I've set up that I can not understand. Like I'll get an upload report and at the bottom of the email it will say, "Result: 0 out of 30 records added" when the email itself is showing records it DID add. I also get "Login Failed" in messages where the login couldn't have failed since it's displaying the result of logging in! ANY help would be very appreciated!!!
Starlite4321 I did the HRDLog.net video last week. Mostly focused on the integration with HRD Logbook, but touched on other features. I agree it’s not thoroughly documented. I think part of it is the Italian translations :). However, for a free service it has some very cool features. I haven’t heard back from support either for the login with Facebook error I get with windows. The maps and scripts make it real nice for integrating into your own website and I think that may be one of the coolest things I’ve seen.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. If there is anything you’d like to see, please let me know! I enjoy making these things and like the practice with the video stuff and helping others out. I’m trying to make it a little more interesting than some of the dry tutorials out there.

It's still not clear to me...from this video and even the webpage for JTAlert what JTAlert (AL) is and what it is for. Thanks!
Sorry to say too much YAP YAP. This is a major fault with too many YT contributors. 5 min in I still had no idea what JT alert does. Just went on to another contributor but was not much better.
Cool. What’s your call sign?
Getting two entries in HRD Logbook, at one time got 3 entries. Some place must be set several times. Do you know anything about this and what to turn on and off. Tnx es 73 Mike
Excellent video, what setting did you use in JTAlert to display the 'State or DX Country' underneath the received callsign, I have not been able to find this setting yet. Peter (VK5KX)
Peter Murphy you may need to enable the online look up.
Brad, thanks for the reply, I ended up finding the setting (View, 'show DXCC Names')to enable seeing the info, cheers.
Peter Murphy excellent! It’s a great little program with a lot of functionality. Spread the word.
Why doesn't jtalert work when I double click on one of the boxes but it works if I click on a person in the wsjtx box ?
Me too, any solution?
Mr. Bean!!
Not sure if you monitor this video anymore. But my question is , when the jtalert box comes up I get call signs showing up in it. But I am unable to click on the call in the jtalert box to get a call started. I have to use the box in wsjtx to initiate a call. Is there a setting in either app that gives you that ability to initiate a call in the jtalert box? In watching your video I saw you initiate calls in the jtalert box.
I’m not 100% sure at the moment, but I’ll check this evening
@@AE4VJ Thanks!
Double-clicking a Callsign in JTAlert will only setup WSJT-X to start the QSO (you will still need to enable Tx in WSJT-X) when the Callsign corresponds to a CQ decode. Double-clicking a Callsign in JTAlert for a non-CQ decode will be ignored by WSJT-X, you need to make that action within WSJT-X itself.
You will need to enable the double click in wsjtx also
@@AE4VJ Ok. Thank you!
reference my message about VIRUS, this has been sorted out, I downloaded JT ALERT and all is ok and working...
hamapps.com is a private club. Only Microsoft Windows OS users only.
Terry Morris I would hardly call it a private club.
@@AE4VJ Brad, if the site only caters to the Windows OS and not other OS's then it is a private club for Window OS users only. Unless the apps run on other OS's, they don't, therefore exclusive to the Windows OS only.
Get to the point.
Very useful presentation!
