They're shutting down their previous comebacks because they're moving onto new stuff. Jennie shutting down the tank from ddu-du ddu-du, Lisa shutting down the truck from boombayah, Jisoo with the umbrella from ddu-du ddu-du and Rosé on Earth from Whistle. Jennie and Lisa's rap parts had similar sets as Playing with fire.
Also, the pier that Lisa dances is in reference to Playing with Fire (even the opening scene with the hands opening up to reveal Lisa dancing)
There's some shots that reminded me of Lovesick Girls too

Pink Venom was a grower for me, but I vibe with it now. Shut Down I loved instantly. And honestly Lisa had no right to be as cheeked up as she was at the end of this video it was a PERSONAL attack.

Honestly, this song and MV was such a nice sendoff to their previous eras as they move onto new horizons 💖 ...Not to mention all the savage lines like "It's not a comeback since we never left" and "Keep talking and we shut you down" 😭🔥. Telling haters/doubters off while also paying homage to their music and elevating themselves, love it👍
Oh! And the Doberman you see in the MV with Lisa is actually hers! His name is Love!! Part of the L Family 🥰
The album as a whole was also so nostalgic and fresh for me! The girls came back slaying and I love it!! Jisoo especially bias-wrecked me lol I genuinely believe this is her era 🥰

@@cloudysupreme9859 It isn’t really noticeable, but if you look in their first dance break for the chorus, the signs in the back have the song names written on them. It’s subtle, but it is mentioned. It’s isn’t as openly displayed as Whistle or DDU-DU DDU-DU.
@@cloudysupreme9859 in Jennie’s bath tub scene on the side table, there was a small figurine/sculpture(?) below the heart from KTL and it has wings like the sculpture in HYLT intro and bridge. I just don’t remember other MVs with symbolisms of wings so that may be it.
Omg all of their voices on the chorus was enchanting😊. Especially Rosé❤😍

OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES!!! Sorry I'm late but that's okay (you can thank school for that), dude I can't freaking think or talk right now my jaw was on the floor by the end of it! And all of the call backs to their old MV's especially DDU-DU-DDU-DU and Kill This Love was absolutely amazing, when I heard Jennie and Lisa rapping my jaw dropped but then I heard Jisoo and Rosé rapping and my jaw was on the floor like what the heck they ALL killed this comeback all of their Vocals, Visuals, Rap, Dance, etc was just PHENOMENAL! Seriously everything about this was amazing and very Lethal (I also have to add that the dog was adorable), again this was everyone's era you can't tell me otherwise like WOW! Anyways I can't wait for you guys to react to more Blackpink such as more Music Videos, B - Sides, Live Performances, Covers, Dance Practices, Moments, and of course Ships! - opening scene of lisa dancing on a deck while rain is poring is a reference to Playing with fire (the burning deck)
- the 4 of them in the car could be a reference to whistle, theres also a scene of them in a car but this one could be a stretch. the background in the car scene in shut down is the same as the one in Boombayah when they are riding the motorcycles tho
- Jennie on the bedazzled tank with the shopping bags is a reference to her scene in DDU-DU DDU-DU
- Lisa with the truck full of bags of money and speakers is from her rap part in Boombayah
- Jisoo holding a pink umbrella while its raining cash is a reference to her part in DDU-DU DDU-DU (but the umbrella was like purple or something and it was raining plain water)
- Rosé on top of the world is referencing whistle and her in the Lamborghini COULD be referencing the scene where she's driving and crying in Kill this love
