FYI the Evo field service manual wants the brakes bled with the engine running. Perhaps because the ABS pump pressurizes when the engine is on. You can also use EvoScan to actuate the solenoid for each wheel on the ABS pump to test it.

That’s actually encouraging because I was just telling someone the other day that I have yet to hit the brakes with the car running and wanted to try that before really doing anything else drastic. I didn’t see that in the manual but to be honest I wasn’t looking for it, just making sure of the bleed pattern haha. I will have to dive into evoscan as well if the “on test” doesn’t pan out. 👏🏼

Sucks about the ABS issue. I had to replace all the hard lines due to rust and Finishing lines set me up, all worked perfectly! Nothing but the highest praise for Josh and team! Like someone else mentioned try bleeding with car on, wonder if it's a glitched ABS sensor issue or something crazy. Hope you fix it and don't need to replace that pump!

Yea it had me baffled! 100% on Josh and Finishing Lines, he really went out of his way to help me try to fix the issues and give me advice. Can’t wait to work with him on the truck project! Got the abs fixed yesterday tho so we are golden now! Starting the car and pumping the brakes did the trick to get the fluid flowing

Nice!! Are you running the CSF Slim rad or is that the full thickness one?

It’s the full one, it’s the 4,5,6 radiator so the hose is on the side of the radiator for better hose routing with the manifold I have

Hoping you find a solution to your ABS module issue. Maybe there is an extra process you're missing to get the job done. I also picked up the mishimoto thermostat a while ago but I'm thinking about going back to OEM because the mishimoto seems to open at a much lower temperature and is better for on the track as opposed to regular drives. I even noticed the car takes longer now to get to proper operating temperature when you look at the gauge and it doesn't get as close to the middle as the OEM one did. What did Desmond suggest? Stay with the mishimoto or go back to OEM? By chance did you do the bleeding sequence correctly?

Thank you man! I’m gonna try to hit the brakes with the car running before I try anything drastic, I’ve yet to do that so we’ll see if that works! And yea I’m also thinking of going back to the oem thermostat. I’ve always read of people having some hiccups with that thermostat but I did it anyway for whatever reason. We haven’t seen any issues yet but least I’ll know what to do if they show up haha! I haven’t asked Desmond yet but will soon. And ya, went by the manual but I also had to jump around a little just to get fluid fully where it needed to be
