I’m a guitar player and this is my first song trying to learn on piano. I got a keyboard from my sister. Thought already being pretty fluent in one instrument would translate over. But I’m having a difficult time. My hands don’t wanna cooperate with my head. Didn’t realize how little work my right hand got with timing and consistency but what a wake up call lol. I’ll keep working on it tomorrow but I’ve pissed myself off to all hell tonight. I can tell your a great teacher though. Cheers
I went in the opposite direction, from piano to guitar, and found it relatively easy, at least compared to learning a first instrument. Either way, you should have a head start. There are plenty of things you don’t have to relearn, like feeling time and discerning intervals, etc. (As you say, your head is already there, you just don’t have the muscle memory yet). I think there are probably RUclips videos though on how to train your right hand and improve your technique. Maybe weave in a few of those into your curriculum? (For most instruments I think there are exercises that have little to do with music per se, that are more like a workout, but are fruitful nonetheless.)
Any chance you could show us how to play Fred Jones Part II by Ben Folds? The right hand is fairly simple but I can't, for the life of me, figure out the bass!
Would it be possible for you talented gentlemen to do Love's Sorrow as performed in Your Lie In April. It's such a touching piece that I would love to learn
This song sounds like “The Theory of Everything” soundtrack. It’s the same key to my favorite song from the soundtrack, “Forces of Attraction.” Literally the same pattern just at a different tempo. You should listen to it and maybe do a video on that song!
@@denghazi lol. Wanna hear something funny? My wife is from korea, has never heard “brick”. I was playing it today and she said it reminds her of a Korean song. She pulled it up, and there were some similarities… but then she googled a little more and read that people accused the Korean singer of copying “after the gold rush”. What a roundabout way for me to learn about the after the gold rush intro.
