Some Stedman cinques on these lovely old fashioned ring of 12. It was the first time that I've rung here, so it was a little bit scary, but I really enjoyed it!
firstly, i would like to say how much i admire you as a ringer myself, and i would like to know how you learnt methods on 12 bells because it’s hard to find 12-bell-towers where you can practice and learn methods, as opposed to just ringing them.
Good video Laura, thanks for posting it. I enjoyed my brief ring at St Pauls a few years ago (rounds on the third) - but I'm not an experienced 12-bell ringer like you!
Whi LST I love the sound of modern rings with Simpson tuning these bells are THE sound of London I used to go to ASCY practice s in the 60s with my old man. Then on Saturdays he would chime the bells and ring the banger which is the odd 13th bell. I'm so glad I got do this and w

Why must these elite ringers ring hundreds and hundreds of rounds before going into changes?
having rung them myself, it is nearly impossible to pull off in perfect rounds, and takes a while to settle back down.
I agree! Of course you need a spell of rounds to settle down, but for top ringers, that many is a bit over the top. Great ringing though!
