Tsurumi after this episode instantly rose to one of my favorite antagonists/villain for manipulating the whole story about the girl in that way to get tsukishima to never betray him
He's not a villain tho, I don't think there's a "bad" guy in this show. Everybody tryna achieve something by any means necessary, they're all equal

tsurumi gives me same vibes as askeladd from vinland saga but tsurumi is a long-haul character development
This show has such a well written narrative and storyline
And the best part is it has some of the most over-the-top hilarious comedy that's also explained as all of these soldiers suffering some form of ptsd and therefor they act wild and goofy.
I don't know why this show not popular as another anime. So i don't ask this question. But i have another one and this question...

That’s what I like about Golden Kamuy. Even seemingly minor characters like Sgt Tsukishima have a backstory.

Lt. Tsurumi was a looker of a man. No wonder they nerfed his face.
He also had a way with words. He daftly manipulated the story of Tsukishima's girl so well, Tsukishima ended up commiting his life to him.

Yes I agree. I was having problems also and emailed them about and they didn't really DO anything. Just suggested for me to wait and then get back to them if the problem continues, in which it did. At the end of the day they still haven't fixed the problem of constant buffering and I only ever has a issue with "Mega fan" membership. I have you many different anime sites and not a one has had constant buffering.

Can someone tell me exactly what is happening here? Depending on the answer, I might give this one a try.
Its kinda hard to explain it fully so youd be better off just watching the show (theres a LOT of backstory and explaining about the characters that needs to be done to get the full picture), but this scene is one of many where the antagonists have flashbacks to them explaining their histories and specifically how they ended up joining one of the main antagonists Tsurumi in his ambition. Its through these that you learn that Tsurumi has been manipulating a lot of these mens lives for many years in order to gain their undying loyalty to him, even if they don’t believe in his cause. What really happened in this characters past is explained immediately following this scene but im assuming crunchyroll didnt want to spoil it. The truth is really twisted and tragic actually and you dont see it coming (all the flashback backstories have really good twists in them actually). The show has the main characters forming temporary alliances with several antagonists and breaking them over the course of the show, so you get to know all these characters really intimately from all angles not just as a villain, so these backstories have a lot more weight if you watch the show
This is season three my dude, and its a backstory for a side character, if this made you interested then you should for sure watch the show

@@blacksas1215 She ended up dying due to the guy’s dad beating her to death. Once he found out, he came back to beat his dad to death. I forgot his name, but the guy with the fragment on his forehead told him that she was still alive, that she moved to Tokyo. Relieved, this guy decided to join the military since the man was an officer of the military. 7 whole years later, in the middle of a war in the clinic area, someone from the guy’s hometown told him the truth. She was dead the whole time, being buried bones and everything under his own house. The 7 whole years that passed was a lie, and the whole time he was being manipulated.

Look at the picture I mean, the author wrote that there isn’t really a good or bad side, it’s just who you want to determine as the bad guy. There’s a part that might be in this season where Tsurumi is simultaneously humanized and alluded to be a complete sociopath even before his accident
Well,there is a lot of show's antagonists who take care of their men.
@@msharialmutaire8387 he clearly is, not only in the sense of being the antagonist but also in his goals and methods; there is no good side in this story but just because it is a conflict between factions of grey morality does not mean that there are no degrees and tonalities that allow the viewer to place the character like him clearly in the category of evil or villain.
