    My first PT lady was so hostile and looked annoyed. She was more concerned on the placement of my mask. My second PT which was an hour away from my home was incredible. Id cry every session and learned that my pelvic floor is carrying a lot of sexual trauma. Unfortunately she moved away and I am praying that I can find someone like her so I can finish the healing process my body needs.

    I'm about to have to do this soon I have alotta pelvic pain from endometriosis I have to learn to relax my pelvic floor muscles they are veryyyyyy tight!

    Prolaps stage 2. You can not do heavy lifting and jump. It will increase your Prolaps . The best exercise, swimming, riding bike, and yoga.

    Except you won't make someone do squats or jumping if they have pelvic floor issues, right? Like a prolapse?

    I need to go so bad but I'm scared to death of any kind of pelvic exam. I had to see a diff dr last year for my pap. She suddenly shoved her fingers in me very horrifically, no warning. My dr of 8 years was not in that day, but he was always very gentle and would calmly ask for permission and tell me what he was about to do. Plus ✨️childhood trauma✨️ has me scared I'll freak out 🥲

    My experience with Pelvic Floor Therapy was NOTHING like that! I learned some exercises that are helpful but I won’t see a therapist again! Maybe if my assessment was more like this one I would be willing, maybe.

      Since most of these pelvic floor dysfunctions are so personal and intimate, it’s SO important that you have a great pelvic floor PT! One who can take their time with you and really focuses on education and lifestyle retraining is gold!

    I see many female powerlifters deadlifting up to 500lbs and you will see a little puddle of urine on the floor, is that from not having good pelvic floor muscles? Since they can lift so much I would think those muscles should be very strong also.

      Never go to a female "professional" for anything, they are VERY insensitive and will try to blame YOU if you complain about them

    I knew I was wasting my time with my therapist. We did none of this. All she has been doing is internal penetration 😢. I was spending $150 a week after insurance and wasn’t getting any relief.

      Well sometimes you need both internal and external depending on how tight your pelvic floor is.

      I started with internal too, I was very tight in my pelvic floor and found out I was carrying a lot of trauma. Then moved to external. My second PT explained to me that I basically was healing 25 years of trauma. It’s would take time.

    How can PT have their finger in you calling it a massage??? Who would allow this?!

      It's not a massage. Good lord. They are feeling for internal organ location for prolapse, feeling the strength of the vagina, having you do kegals to feel if you are doing them correctly. It's not a massage or anything inappropriate. It's a medical exam.

      I have vaginismus and have allowed it. I do it myself at home, too. When I first started physical therapy, I could not even get a tampon or a finger in. Anytime I tried to I experienced severe pain. Same as the first time I tried to be intimate with my partner. It wouldn’t go in and it hurt a ton.
      My PT uses her finger to access where my muscles are tight and to show me stretches to do. I do the clock method with my dilators, where I stretch myself in a circle like a clock, focusing on 7 and 2 o’clock where I am very tight. I can get a tampon in now painlessly and am half way through my dilators. It’s not pleasurable and is quite literally just stretching my pelvic floor muscles.

      If you are extremely tight it helps a ton! My left leg and left side would go numb and after these massages I was able to feel my left side again!
