I don't know how you even got to Wracktail at such an early level (i had to get myself to level 19 before i could even START the flipside pit!) but you do know, you could've made this battle a hell of alot quicker/easier if you just spring jumped the antenna with Luigi instead of doing the whole thoreau thing ahahaha...
Well, when you reach in the 100th floor, the boss shadoo tells you that you're not ready yet and you need to do the Flopside Pit of 100-Trials again, but in the 2nd Time he has you're Shadow Clones Ready...
To be honest, given the 90 trials the player had to go through, this boss was anticlimactic. It was pretty much the same difficulty as Fracktail (I did not notice any difference in the battle). Then again, I should not complain, and I should be glad that it ends with a boss that won't kill you and make you go through the pit again.
Oh yeah, Final Boss of the Pit! Who works EXACTLY like Fracktail. Nice ass kicking there. Especially love the strategy ya used to beat him. I swear that Pixl must have a stash somewhere, cuz dude's obviously sky high.
I started the Pit Of 100 Trials at Lvl. 5 (with Mario & Peach) and tried to get to the end, but died at Floor 72. Twice. I really wanna get to the end without Bowser or Luigi!

All you need is 3 life shrooms, 2 ultra shroom shakes, 2 super shroom shakes, an attack-increasing item (for Wracktail), a defense-increasing item (for when you're low on health, but close to leveling up so that you don't waste your healing items), and a thunder rage or two. (sell cards for extra money if you have to) ...also, when you get to the caped guys who throw spikes, use Dottie!!! And one more thing, be at least level 15 when you enter. Hope this helps
Actually, the first time Shadoo is scanning the heroes to create their dark copies. At the second, he uses their dark versions against them. And then you have the strongest boss in game. SPOILER: Stronger than the last boss.
He's not trying to take the 1 minute way out of this fight. I think he's trying to actually show the way to dodge the attacks and how to regularly fight him. Either way he still did it pretty damn fast.
@zeelee1996 I'm pretty sure fracktail is red(slightly purple) blue and yellow. Notice the different shade of pink against the white of his belly and the similar gold yellow markings.

Well, I made it to 80, where I had to escape. I entred the pit with very few HP items. I wasted them all on those 100 fighters in world 6. I need to find some green shrooms before I try again.. Lv 25 now. Um, but why twice?
Hooktail = Fracktail Gloomtail Bonetail = Wracktail I'm pretty sure they did that on purpose. Note that they're both the first major boss of the game & the final challenge in the Pit of 100 Trials.
Apparently, the two Pits of 100 Trials in SPM were actually designed by the Ancients with the thought in mind that the true Heros would need some exitment in life.
after i finished this boss,i wondered if going through all of this was worth a pixel.the pit of 100 trials in flopside is worth it though.always in 3d....and the pixl piccolo....poison heal and free music?really worh it?
i just beat the game today but what concerns me is why they didnt have the part with wedding bowser or wedding peach, i dont remember it ever happening in the game
I thought this guy was cake compared to the horror of Flopside's Pit of 100, and I had used all my remaining healing items on this guy! (Long-last shroom shakes are more worth it than Shroom shakes, you get more HP in the long run. ;D)
@orangejose411 He probably wanted some challenge for this boss. It's true that Bonechill and Wracktail are absolute pieces of cake with Luigi, but without him, it's really not that easy...
Thousand Year Door dragons. Their attacks were next to impossible to avoid, & considering that the TYD pit was more detrimental, BoneTail is harder by far than WrackTail.
Super Paper Mario could have been a really awesome RPG, but noooo, it had to be a platform jumping. Sheeez. I just wish that Nintendo will do Paper Mario RPGs again. They were fun.
this was in fact quite easy, but i didn`t know luigi`s super jump could hurt it so i fought him like the first version. those beams from the quackers were annoying, but everything else was easy. i`m not sure what i see as the hardest boss on the game. probably mimi to be honest

Wracktail doesn't have an HP amount, instead, he dies after a certain amount of hits. The easiest way to beat this fight is to use Luigi and super jump through his antenna ball. The result is Luigi constantly bouncing off his ball wracking up hits quickly.
hey why didnt you tried luigi's super jump with double attack power and a "keep bouncing", it really works :D (i've just finished the game a couple of days ago)
if you just use luigi's high jump you can land on top of the antennae and just bounce on it doing like 80 damage a second as long as you don't fall off

But the way I see it, the first 2 paper marios were like final fantast games, you know turn based, and this one's like kingdom hearts (I mean gameplay wise of course). And although I DO like real time battle games, I only like them when you have AI controlled allies to assist you, so I'd like this better if it was RPG.... Anywho, I stil gotta get this game. It's on my list of things to get...

I entered the Flipside Pit of 100-trials at lv.16. Lv.17 is a good level to enter the flipside pit of 100-trials.

Anybody can hit Wracktail, but I used Luigi because he is the highest jumper, he has a more advantage for this fight

Probably, I passed all the Rooms from 10Seconds to 2 Minutes..and they give you 5 minutes to find the key and go to the next floor..

You can get one for the moderate package (I think) at the Flopside inn.

It would be very cool, if you are in room 99 and your HP is 1 and you do your last jump attack, and then "Level up Your HP went up by 1"

yeah, get a normal shroom shake and fire burst and go to flopside chef to make emergency rations. They heal 50 while in the pit!

Once you unlock B-2, I think you can unlock it, bring a lot of items with you sport.
Hook tail Gloom tail Bone tail Frack tail Wrack tail.
Luigi can kill him really quickly with the Super Jump. Hit Fracktail with it, then jump on the gold thingy a bunch of times.
