A nice desk. Can I suggest a method of matching the grain on the cable management cover? When making the top, make one of the boards the exact width of the cover. Then cut a section from the middle of that board before making the top. Make the cover from the removed part. Glue the boards together leaving a space for the cover. Then the grain on the cover will exactly match the grain of the desk top.
