I don’t have a price list as of yet. It’s just tough because I really have never carved the same thing twice and tailor every project to the clients wants and budget!
These days I use a manpa eye cutter bits but this doggo was a while ago, I probably just used my rotary tool because I didn’t have a lot of tools at this time!
I don’t believe I do for this one unfortunately! I was still just printing out pictures and winging it a bit 😕 I do scaled drafts now on larger carvings and it’s so helpful!
That’s so kind of you to say! Funny enough I went to school for nursing and graduated with my BSN 😂 My nursing career is on hold while I pursue and explore a new career path as a chainsaw carver! I have always loved art and been a doodler my whole life but have never had the time to fully dive into it! So this has been a dream ☺️
I’m a heavy equipment operator at a local quarry which normally does’t lend it’s self to an artist life. Over the last two years I’ve had a lot of down time. Instead of wasting the time on my phone I’ve started drawing a lot. Some days it can be 4-6 hours.😂 Last year I pick up the first of many carving knife’s and chisels . And started carving whatever I could to help get a grasp on the 3-d elements of chainsaw carving. Creativity is now my drug of choice! 😂
@@timkelley6616 I would love to learn how to use chisels for finishing and detailing my carvings! They give such a crisp clean look that you cant get with any power tool! I'm excited for all that I'm going to learn over the next few years as I dive deeper into this unique art from! Creativity really is a drug, I'm glad you have found as much enjoyment in it as I have :)
Yes they are! Not so much with this specific carving but all my more recent carvings I have been putting more time into planning my initial cuts! I usually spend an hour or so the night prior making to-scale sketches on graft paper. Sometimes you can see them pinned to wood in the back of my videos :) I started doing that with my bigfoot carving and it helped a lot so I do it for most cavings now, especially custom orders!
Extremely talented woman you are. Also, how fast you picked up on such an art form, is amazing!

Are these carvings planned? I don’t know if my question makes sense, but do you have specific measurements or steps to follow?
