I love your chat about perfection and imperfection as I look out the window and see my hubby trim a tree in the garden 😂He likes the perfection and I am the more raggedy look so we meet in the middle. Your embroidery is beautiful and you must be so chaffed with it. We have spring here in New Zealand and today there is a chilly wind blowing the blossom about and a fresh sprinkle of snow on the peaks that won’t stay long. Happy crafting Xx
I love watching this video, it was so relaxing. It also reminded me of my Italian grandmother, hand-stitching Wahoo watching television, and not knowing what was on the telly!
It's absolutely gorgeous. I just love the stitching. I think older things look amazing for the same reason; they aren't perfect. It gives them a personality and charm that newer things just can have. Thank you for the video and for sharing this. Take care!
Oooohhhh, so lovely. Hanging in a box frame will really make it be special! You could sew rings to the back near the top and put cup hooks inside the frame and hang it so it’s floating. It’ll be interesting to see how you do that part. It has finally cooled here in Virginia. In the 70’s today. It’s supposed to be sunny, but there are so many horrible fires across the country that all the smoke is clouding the sky here, 3000+ miles away. 😳. Hope Lulu is feeling better. That cough sounded awful. Thanks for sharing this project with us.
Lulu is completely better and at school. That is an interesting suggestion, I'll have think about it. Lucky you re the weather, it's hot and humid here! Thank you so much!
Rachel, your is so gorgeous!!! I will miss you working on it. I so relax and and watch you stitch. I'm still on my individual one's but it's going good. Can't wait to see it in the frame. Thanks so much for talking us with you on this journey, it has been so exciting. 💗💗
Looks beautiful! I have been practicing stitches, sometimes I get frustrated and I stop and then I pick it up again. You are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing 😍🌴
Just got home from eye surgery & had to catch up to Roxy videos! Love this piece of embroidery! I really appreciated the chance to see how you handled the edge of this piece!
I love watching you sew and chit chat. It might be because I sew hand made quilts also. I’ve made 6 completed and two tops are done ready for backing. You do so much extra embellishments. I’m going to have to try that One of these days. I still am working on journaling and yet have a cross stitch that’s not finished yet. What ever hits me that day I work on. I love old things too.
I am waiting for my Jessie Friendship quilt to come in the mail...really excited to work on this... i have loved your videos on how you went about doing it...lovely finish...hugs, Julierose
This is so lovely!! I've been waiting to see it finished and, ohhh, so worth the wait! As soon as I finish unpacking and setting up our house, I'm going to start stitching again. I stitched as a young girl along side my Mama as she stitched! You've inspired me to give it another go. I enjoy so very much that you don't worry that everything is perfect!! I truly feel the beauty is in the imperfect!! Thank you for sharing all that you do!
O.M.G. Rachel!! This is just stunning!😍😍😍 I wish I knew how to do that because it is claiming to be a Junk Journal cover for me. So so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it!
I may or may not have hurdled furniture, knocking down one of my teenagers to get to my computer to watch this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xo
This turned out beautiful. We have forest fires all around us here. It looks foggy outside from the smoke. It’s so sad to think of all the loss. Take care!
This turned out absolutely beautiful, Rachel, I love it. I ordered my kit from Jessie and am waiting on some fabric from The French General (all rose patterns) to get started on mine. So many ideas, so little time...thanks for sharing.
This is Gorgeous!!! All the colors and different stitches are so beautiful! It's going to look amazing on your wall. Please be sure and add your name and date on the back...it will mean so much to your family, years and years from now when you're long gone. I hope that didn't sound horrible, but I just recently found a quilt from my husband's family and on the back was embroidered his great, great grandmothers name. I just love it!
This is so pretty and relaxing to watch. I hear what you're saying about September. It is usually my favourite month. Sunny, rain showers, cool mornings...but NO...not this year. It it's not in the 30's it's smokey from fires down south. I guess that's one way for me to look forward to winter lol Thanks for all your videos Rachel...you're an angel xo
I love yo watch you stitching while I'm stitching here...also I finished my Italy journal with all the beautiful papers and lace that I got from you...it was so much fun and love how it turned out. Thanks again
Thank you, I can’t wait to finish my embroidery now. I think mine will be a wall hanging. I have a built in sleeve for a pole, it’s the top of the vintage linen sheet I used for my base material.
I thought about doing that but then decided to frame it. Im working on something bigger that will become a knee quilt or a big wall hanging. Haven't decided yet! I look forward to seeing more of your! Thank you so much!
I love watching everything you do. 😊❤ We have a hurricane sitting in the bay, slowly making it's way towards land. Not sure yet if it's going to hit us, but a lot of flooding expected.
New sub here....popped over from Suzanne's channel. My love of slow stitching has just be re-ignited after viewing your gorgeous project. I feel very inspired now. Thank you. I'll be back to check out some more.
Love Love Love your Friendship Quilt! I have purchased Jessie Chorley's quilt kit and have all the blocks stitched and now I procrastinate because I am unsure how to get started laying down fabrics. Do you have any tips/hints on how you choose and arrange the fabric squares around the stitched blocks? I really love the look of your quilt with all the floral fabric pieces along with the stitching. Very much enjoy watching your stitching videos, watching these inspired me to give "slow stitching" a try and now I am hooked! Thanks!
I explained what i did in my previous videos, possibly the first one. I have linked them I think in the description box. Let me know if they aren't helpful. Thank you so much!
Love watching you sew! I’m new to low stitch and I’ve learned so much from your videos. I’d love to try something like this. Do you know if this is still available? Thank you for the inspiration!
I love watching your stitching videos and think you should start a RUclips channel called "Roxy Sews"! You've inspired me to make a "Jessica Chorley " wall hanging with the embroidery pieces I've made and stuck in a basket.

Yes i think it's still available on Jessie Chorley's website. Thank you so much!
Hi Rachel. It's so beautiful.
One small question: will you wash it before framing.. tku.
No, I'll give it a shake for dust but I don't want to wash it. Thank you so much!
