    Intuition suggests the charges on a charged conductor would be positioned such that they are at a maximum distance from each other, therefore many would be inside the conductor. Why would they go to the surface?

    How positive charge lies in the surface ...

      positive charges simply mean the absence of electrons, it is not they are lying around

    Sir how is electric field produced inside a wire ( if the wire is not straight) when we connect a both terminals of battery to that wire at the same time.
