I love it! In the 80’s I permed my hair and had that kind of hair! I used a water spray bottle to spritz it! And I did the up do ... like you! Love them both! 🌹

@@DawnStamper Thanks for responding. I am trying to decide which one to buy for my very first wig ever and in what color. I feel a connection to your style because I love big hair & I was blonde as a kid but my hair gets darker every year, so I get highlights in ash blonde or winter wheat. I don't like yellow/orange blondes because they remind me of brassiness. I am considering main attraction's Hollywood because I like medium to long curly hair with layering around the face & it's more affordable than some of the others. I am trying to decide between Pecan and Toffee. I don't want a really bleached look, I prefer a natural looking highlighted blonde. What do you think? It looks like you have both, so do you prefer Toffee or Pecan or do you like them both?

@@DawnStamper Thanks for the advice. I would love to get one of these super curly wigs because I miss my permed hair, but I think that's probably not a good choice for my very first wig. They seems harder to maintain. I think I prefer the Jamilla plus because the curls are less deconstructed and I used to use mousse, leave in conditioner and blow dry with a diffuser to keep my perm curls from looking fizzy. So, I think I have PTSD from frizzy perm days,😊 so the Storyville looks more frizzy to me, but not as frizzy as Wiki, I couldn't wear that one. I could maybe do Gabor Curl Appeal too... someday.

Hi Cheryl 👋 oh yes! These curls and EVERYTHING! Understand however, that these two styles have a pattern that isn't duplicated... You can see it on one RUclipsr with a curl pattern going one way, and another RUclipsr with the same wig, have a a completely look because the curls are going a different way...

Love both of these wigs on you and this curly girl has neither. Might need to remedy that. Very good points you make about how much the upkeep of natural hair costs. I had great hair until I didn't and I prefer all the great hair I have purchased in wigs hands down. It is a lot of fun. You are so cute. Thanks for showing us "all the dos"! ❤

As you can see in my pic I had beautiful long thick blonde hair before my health issues. NOW... Whats left of it is just not pretty . Im SO thankful for wigs!! Not only coukd I have my long blonde hair WITHOUT the salon price tag... I can change it up daily if I want to. Im such a huge fan of wigs!! Anyway....love your videos ❤❤❤

I have observed, more so now than ever. I thought I was the only one that had unruly bad hair. My bioHair served me well, back in the day when it was young and strong in a lot like Farrah Fawcett.(most of us embraced the style) when my hair started falling out and being unruly I was completely exhausted every time I combed my hair.Now I just pop on a style that I’m liking and a color that I want that day and and I am very happy. Wearing wigs is such a freedom that anyone who has problem hair should adopt.You won’t be sorry and you’ll have so much fun. Thank you Dawn for pointing out something that I also have noticed. Seems we'd rather damage hair with hair dye than by using a wig eh.. I can understand it but you were right.. At least try on a wig in future to see...love the storyville look here at 6 minutes onward. I was re reading treasure island a childhood favourite, and the Dr character says, 'I swear by my wig!' The powdered wig is also used to show his sophistication compared to most characters .. Lol

It annoys me a bit that the color for Ellen Wille wigs are different on every wig. Storyville is much more strawberry blonde than Jamilla

There is no style that you don't look tremendous in. I agree. Clipped in the back looks so believable. Colored my hair for years. Wigs are do much easier. I love wigs. Takes the pain right out of getting ready in the morning. Grest video.🥰❤
All the curly iron burns, hair spray, broken hair over my jacket lapels from damaged, dry,split ends - what a headache indeed!

11:01 OK, this is what happened to me. See it does happen. You said these two are the same color?? Well, I ordered “Mocha w/Cream wig (Everybody said it was like Nutella with a root) I only like and wear warm color wig. The Mocha w/cream I received was SO COOL toned. I actually looked at box to see if they sent me wrong wig. It looks like “Brwn Sugar Swt Cream” Very cool. So it does happen. When they say colors can differ slightly. LIES. That and mine were not in anyway slightly off color. It is the same as getting a completely different wig than you ordered when the difference is so far off it’s not even the same tone. Period
They say there are, "variants" and I say, there are variants and then there are completely different all together! I stand by you Sister!! I get you!!!
14:51 Yeah, but if she buys a realistic wig that you have to but heat on to maintain, then the style she bought is taken out and you have to try to put it back and that is not an easy or fast task. And if wearing a “long” wig, to work everyday, 12hrs a day, 😢 for a month or so, she will soon find they are a lot of work and that work takes the style away each time you have to add heat and start over. And it pretty much is ruined. Lucky if it lasts you a month. So, maybe she is the one saving the money … and time. 😂
Not buying disposable wigs that last less amount of time that her dye job.
It's something to consider when purchasing any style, that's for sure! 🤔 What is the most important deciding factor for each individual purchase, because they can be different for each from purchase to purchase 💝

Hi Dawn I am so happy! I received the Jamila Plus that you and your sister reviewed so thoroughly! I used fingers to comb through and make it fluffier everywhere except front and it looks so much like my real hair (but thicker and longer!) I used your tips on it. I took photo and compared to my old photos from 3 years ago anf last year before I cut my hair so badly (i cut my hair short when stressed about emergencies).. It resembles those old photos so much. But hairline is better .. And whole look makes my face look healthier somehow. Thanks so much! Only thing is, wondering whether the pressure against my hair will cause friction and more receding/hair loss. Have pulled the front out and loosely braid it into the wig. Btw this wig doesnt hurt eh? Actually it feels comforting and safe like back when I used Hijab.

What I want to know is ....are the fibers soft. Too many of the "Kanelon" fibers are so course in the white or platinum colors that they itch even if I wear a wig cap when they brush the edge of my face. This looks softer. Is it?

How is the fit of this cap on you? I ordered an Ellen Wille but it was a fully hand tied cap and it was so small that the eartabs ended up next to my eyeballs! And I for certain have an average head 22 inches. I just ordered another one from envy which is also a fully hand tied wig, and it too is too small. Definitely hand tied wigs do not work for me at all. I first thought it was just Ellen Wille but now that the envy hand tied don't fit I am hundred percent sure it is the hand tied wigs that is the problem, not the brand.
I have only had 2 hand tied caps, and both were from Jon Renau, and both of them were on the bigger side of average..
These two Ellen Wille styles fit my almost 22 inch circumference just fine 🥰

Hope you are looking at your notes from all of us. I just came across Miche and Noel on the Wig Shop. Ever since I looked at this video I've wanted a very curly wig. Normally I would be very skeptical of a 29.00 wig you can't return. If you happen to get this a see the wigs I'm talking about...do I dare?

Okay... I honestly can't say. It's not bad a price and if it is not what I expected, I could take one for the team. I wouldn't feel buyer's remorse and would consider it a learning curve 🤗

I have to tell you, I wore both these wigs and even had a teeth cleaning done - when I showed the dentist after all the work was done, the dentist was shocked she had no idea it was a wig - she was as up close to it as a person can get and it totally blew her mind to find out! Do you wear wigs now?
Plug the sink and put 1/4 cup water in it. Then dip your hands in instead of letting water run. You are wasting huge amount of water over time. It's also better to dip as you have more control of how many drops you get on your hands. Storyville looks fantastic in all the ways you styled it.

@@DawnStamper I have worked in product marketing for over 30 years and it would be exceedingly rare that a manufacturer would keep a product exactly the same and change the name. I'm pretty sure there is a difference. Even when I look at pics of both wigs, they do not look the same. During the early days of Jamila, I ordered 2 wigs for my mom (one in a beautiful deep purple-tone - no longer available) and the hairs on her wigs appear shorter AND much tighter than the hairs I see on Jamila Plus.
