Thank you for an informative video on this particular drone. I bought a Sky-Viper Fury for my great nephew for Christmas and, after seeing how easy it was to operate, decided to look into buying a Sky-Viper video drone. The box that the drone came in mentions another video drone called the Scout but Sky-Viper's web sight doesn't show it as a product. Therefore, the Journey SE will probably be what I purchase...
No problem, I m here to help. I enjoyed flying my Sky Viper Journey SE but ended up gifting it to a nephew. Great outdoor flyer, I would just be mindful of outdoor wind conditions before every flight and you won’t be disappointed with the Journey SE or any R/C aircraft. When you hit return to home it is supposed to go high enough not to hit any trees so it will go up before it gets to home spot then come strait down where you started from
I seem to manually takeoff and land with this drone instead of using its automatic features. I feel more in control in tight spots, but thanks for the info, in the video you can see the drone is doing what you mention when I decided to test the home button but again I had no experience with the drone and had some trees around me, also the wind was higher then I wanted it to be. Dog that thing out. It's a sky viper... Take the prop guards off and watch what it can do. I still have their old S1700. I can go full speed circle in my living room with it now.. I think I've replaced like 10 batteries for it over the years. I've only ever broken one blade. never the drone itself the thing is pretty tolerant of crashes. I got it in 2016 from Toys R US! It's the drone I learned to fly on.
Wow that’s great, good to know that it’s lasted you for so long. I enjoy my Sky Viper Journey Se. Easy to fly and looks great. Magnetic interference can be a real problem for GPS-equipped drones. Houses have all kinds of metal parts and concrete can have embedded steel rebar and mesh that can cause interference with GPS. Before I graduated to race drones I used to bring a paper plate so I could set up and launch my drone out in the grass.

After the updates to the app, I think the 0% battery is fixed and other things.
Kind of look like the old Propel line of drones.

Hey I had got my kid one for Christmas, a message came on the phone saying it’s locked and wouldn’t take off ever experienced this?
That’s strange, I haven’t run into that problem. The Sky Viper for me has been a reliable drone. Im sure once you restarted the drone and remote it resolved the issue but if it didn’t my only suggestion would be to delete the FPV app and re install it.
