Beautifully done. Oh, at first I was finding holes in the plot, but in the long run, the story was told so well and filmed ot well on an obviously low budget, that this turned out to be a brilliant film of Lovecraftian horror. And even brought a bit of a tear to my eyes at the end. My thanks to the creators of this film for making it.
Weird movies , .. but awesome. My gf is a big love craft / overall novel history fan which is what brought me down many positive paths. The relation with the painter son; and his father is eerily familiar to my own IRL. Lol. Just the demeanor when he shows him the painting st the coffee table sent a chill up my spine. Will be 7 yrs since he’s gone. Stay well all. ☯️
This was an excellent film and the acting was superb especially the father! Most Lovecraftian films are so cheesy and over the top and are full of special effects and "tentacles" - as if that is all Lovecraft is about! This felt uneasy and dreamlike. I think HPL would have been 👍.
Thought it was quite good. Despite the low low budget and some cheesy dialog. Really liked the unusual protagonist. His gruff, flawed performance connects on an emotional level by the end.
Art is not about "big budgets". The best films in my opinion are not Hollywood. A small budget requires real talent and skill to being stories to life.
When I was in my early 20's about 12 years ago working in Hollywood, I wrote a story of the origins of the rose parade with each float giving a secret message and when you combine them all for the whole world to see, the one's who can figure it out would know it was an invitation for a group of people from all over the world are welcome to be part. my story involved using the city of Pasadena, which has JPL, Cal Tech along with CIA to broadcast and solve clues once a year at the same time for all to figure out. Can't give all the details but I got the idea when I worked on the Boeing Sesame Street float in '02, putting the flowers on Big Bird. The float was on how to teach people music at any age. My idea was using synthetic telepathy waves (very real) and broadcasting air and soundwaves. shortly after making the story I was placed under the Patriot Act terrorist watch list for breaking a military law but not an American law for it hasn't been made to public yet and won't be for another decade. I was told I can make this story after I can make 3 laws to make one law because of stock options regarding Space force. This opened the door to production in metals used in orbit and what company's use such type and the investments being worthy. Solar panels in orbit needed the strongest metal to endure cold/ hot temp every day while serving a bigger purpose. I wrote 40 stories, I had to go under a different name but still production knows so i decided now in my 30's to just give them away for free. If you like some of this story, I would like to tell you a better one.
The son did. He was "trapped between worlds" as he mentioned in the detective's dream. When the two cultists got mirked he escaped and brought it back.

👹👹👹 real good film wicked
Wow. Good job.
I saw this on Prime a few months ago. It's really not bad at all if you give it a chance. Good effort by the director.
Cool ending

The father reminded me of Jason Robards\John Huston.
He kept reminding me of the elderly Neil Diamond !

Only the question remains- who stole the footage?
The son did. He was "trapped between worlds" as he mentioned in the detective's dream. When the two cultists got mirked he escaped and brought it back.
When was it released?
I don't know
Very Lovecraftian.Low budget,high result.
so the old man is gandalf right
No, his son is Frodo
It`s good.
Thomas Christopher Walker Timothy Rodriguez Sandra
Walker Charles Gonzalez Betty Harris Mary
Lee Elizabeth Lee Betty Smith Laura
The minute the son mentioned this woman i would have said nope. Piss off.
Nice. 😮
My only objection in any of these stories is why all female occultists must sound like snarky mean girl high school craftiest. Is that the only model?
