Tickets ready to go. You guys and gals are awesome
I know y'all are teasing each other but it raises a good point. The character of our tasting notes does often change when we know what we're tasting. I find it a whole lot easier to be critical of a $20 bottle than when I'm tasting a $200 bottle.
As they say none of these are bad they are just different. Can’t wait for the show tonight!! Enjoy!!
Very envious of this lineup! Lol
Kurt, great meeting you and the wife at PHX last week. Hope you both had an amazing anniversary trip!
Trent's moss commentary cracked me up especially when you think that you're drinking "old forest"er!!!
Did i just hear licking microfiber cloth?????
I've only had a pour of the Blue one and absolutely loved it. The hunt continues.
I really enjoy your content and you guys have helped my bourbon collection grow
They never actually identified the winner as being 2022
4 different ones?? haha!
And here I am, I can’t even find ONE!
I would love to try a sip of any of these, but have not had the opportunity yet. Fun video and looking forward to the live stream this evening!
What a wonderful lineup to be able to blind. Envious!
When you finally find an OFBB but old forester craps the bed this year
Looking forward to the livestream!
Looking forward to tonight stream. Glad the pink eye cleared up. Cheers to tonight
I also own 2021 (green) so I’m glad you liked that bottle!
I just picked up this years release at Costco today for $110! So even if it's not that great I'm still stoked to have the bottle and it'll make a great infinity bottle when we're done with it.
What state ? Birthday bourbon at cotsco ?
CA. Picked up Woodford Reserve Masters Collection Batch Proof for $108 two weeks ago.@@anthonyvella2787
2020 for me was amazing. Like a confetti cake flavor finish. 🤤 Cheers!
“Are we vibin’ up here?”
Is the raffle open to Canadians?!? I want to get in on this! Please let me know
Can’t wait to see y’all tonight!!!
Would love to own one someday. Love the show!
I will have to take your words 100% on this one.
I was given a sample of Birthday Bourbon 2022 that I am saving for a special occasion. 🥃
good luck later on with the auctions and good luck to folks in both that and the raffle... wont make the live stream as working tomorrow and i'm Scotland... so a little late for me
Microfiber cloth lol😅
Quick question about the raffle tonight.
I'll be at a trunk or treat tonight and will miss some of the show. Do I have to be present in the live in order to win. Thanks.
Congratulations on the great turnout.
No, I think they said you don't have to be present.
Maybe off topic but, when you pour your glass and then you let it sit and air out if you will, can you let it sit too long and lose the aromas?
Just spent $80 at licorice 😂
Congrats on having that many Birthdays🎉 I've seen one in the store once. $1500😢
Kurt, did you film any of your bourbon hunts while in Arizona? It would be interesting to see some of the distilleries there.
Wish I was there. Was my birthday yesterday!
Good lineup. I know one of you aren’t a fan of peat so what about a Glenfarclas lineup?
It's kind of like mowing the lawn.
So the blue bottle is the 2022?
Trenton, still waiting for a RUSSELLS Single Barrel Store pick HEAD TO HEAD with at least 3 and better yet 4-5 double blind and then take the winner for another blind against the winner of a RUSSELLS 13 multiple batch double blind and throw in a “secret” bottle for 3 in the final round.
Make sense to you?
Cheers!
Jonathan
I have a 21 OFBB and 23 OFBB. 21 is much better to me
I wish I could watch. But my Arizona Diamondbacks in the World Series game one. I wish you all the luck.
Thank you for beating the Phillies
@calebbrown918 you are welcome 😊
Buying a Bourbon for more than $100.00 would be a new experience for me. I have had many bourbons in the 19.00 to 80.00 range that are really nice.
Usually my budget will only allow $40 or less. On four occasions I've been able to spend over $50, and of those four, three were great and one really was only a $30 bourbon. Usually I spend $20-30, with, as I say, the occasional foray up to $40. And I've had some fantastic whisky in that range. Indeed, my favorite whiskies are all $40 or less. 🙂
@@WhiskyForBeginners yes, $25 to $40, is my normal for 750 ml. My wife and have one 45 ml (1.5 oz) every night, no sugar added, neat or over a large block of ice. Most times we buy a 1.75 l. and they are less than $70 like Normal Elijah Craig, 1892, Maker's Larcaney, Wild Turkey, Oh, we are over 70. Started the daily shot in our mid 60's. I am going to retire "next year". Working from home is sort of like being retired.
First! Been waiting for this one. They really did it guys
See you tonight 🥃
Have you ever reviewed Basil Hayden?
🤙🏻
More cocktail videos?
If you're a Patreon member, they've been posting a whole series of cocktail videos there.
I have a 2013. Birthday bourbon 🥃 never opened
4. Cut it out. No one can get one let alone compare 4
Our goal for 2023 is $40,000.
Raised so far: $131,650!!!
Do whistle pig 10 review
Would you consider making bourbon hunting videos?
Texas doesn't get Birthday Bourbon, not even end of year Allocated.
Happy Anniversary! I'm not a fan of Old Forrester bourbon. Am I the only one?
The only things I've had from Old Forester are a sample of the Statesman, and the 100 proof. I didn't care for the first, but I really like the second.
The juice inside may be great bourbon, but IMO that bottle is just butt ugly. I suspect plenty of people disagree with me. 🙃
If this was just dry bourbon reviewing, it would be way too long. But the way y'all put things, and josh each other, and have fun with the whisky, make it an interesting and enjoyable video all the way to the end. 🙂
I had 2023 and it was extremely disappointing. $60 pour I’d say the bottle is t worth $60
I had the opportunity to try it this week at an Old Forester tasting event....it was amazing on the nose but fell flat on the palate to me. I'd easily choose the 1920 over it

Love the video lol
I miss the old Kurt when he'd mix up some cocktails
Guys I sincerely enjoy your reviews and channel but I can’t sit through a 25 minute review video. Please summarize the results clearly for us who need to speed through things, I missed what the color codes mean. Blue was the winner, what BB was that?
You know that you can just skip forward, right?
