Here is a lady who is the epitome of all that is best in music, and the art of how to present it. A lady of impeccable honesty, of soul baring beauty, and with an experience of life that gives her performances an authenticity that is rarely seen and heard. She is that rare artist, the great story teller. We must do all we can to prevent her kind of artistry becoming extinct. Unfortunately, there is little in contemporary culture to encourage its nourishment. Thank you, dear Shirley.

Que maravilla de interpretación...música tan maravillosa y que interpretación tan personal y excepcional...la orquesta finísima...el arreglo de Mandel es simplemente una joya de instrumentación...artistas de esta calidad hay tan pocos, que con su sencillez puedan erizarte la piel...Shirley Horn y Johnny Mandel, por siempre!!!!!

Totalmente de acuerdo Jeremy, ....Shirley Horn fué una artista como pocas lo han habido, de una honestidad en su arte único, una belleza de interpretación y cantando una maravilloso tema del gran Johnny Mandel, arreglado por el mismo.....sería maravilloso poder ver mas videos de esta actuación, ojalá alguien las cuelgue en youtube.

This album lived in my car for a good few years until it was broken in to and the CD wallet stolen ! Shirley Horn and the incredible Johnny Mandel's heart wrenching arrangement . Utterly magic.
