- BALZAC's first live performance digest video without an audience!
It’s become a yearly custom for BALZAC to hold a ‘one-man’ live performance at Shimokitazawa SHELTER in Tokyo to end off the year. In 2020 this show took place as a livestream, without a live audience, on December 18th-22nd. The live performance was held to commemorate the release of the newly remixed and remastered album “ZENNOU-NARU MUSUU-NO ME-WA SHI-WO YUBI-SASU”-20th Anniversary Compilation-, which was released on Halloween, October 31st, 2020.
Running time is roughly 90 minutes, and every song from the “ZENNOU-NARU MUSUU-NO ME-WA SHI-WO YUBI-SASU” is included in the show. A total of 22 songs, in total, are interweaved with both old and new BALZAC played.
The performance took place, and was filmed, on a fully-realized “ZENNOU-NARU MUSUU-NO ME-WA SHI-WO YUBI-SASU”-themed stage at the SHELTER.
Director, Takayuki Yamada, who has been involved with all BALZAC film and video works for the past 20 years was in charge of the production and video direction for the event. He was able to sophisticatedly capture the energetic stage show in such a way that it has turned the traditional online livestream style on its head.

BALZAC初の無観客配信ライブ・ダイジェスト映像！！
東京下北沢SHELTERにて、年末恒例として欠かさず開催してきたBALZACワンマン・ライブ。2020年は無観客配信ライブとして2020年12月18日から12月22日まで、有料ストリーミング配信にて実現。2020年10月31日HALLOWEENに発売されたリミックス＋リマスター・アルバム『全能ナル無数ノ眼ハ死ヲ指サス』-20th Anniversary Compilation-の発売記念ライブとして開催された。演奏時間は約90分、アルバム『全能ナル無数ノ眼ハ死ヲ指サス』収録全曲をライブにて完全再現、さらにBALZACの新旧の曲を織り交ぜた全22曲を演奏。そして配信ライブだからこそ可能な演出により、『全能ナル無数ノ眼ハ死ヲ指サス』の世界観をSHELTERのステージにて実現させた。
配信映像監督は、これまで20年間BALZACの全映像作品を手掛けてきた山田貴教監督が担当。従来のオンライン・ライブ様式を覆す、圧倒的なステージ、映像作品のクオリティーを披露した。

ずいぶん昔にBALZAC聴いてたけど、改めて聴くとハードなんだけどキャッチーなメロディが素晴らしく格好いいなー。もう20年前なんですね。。
