Thank you, I found your video helpful! I didn't plan on becoming a coach. Plus, at my age. But, as I was diagnosed with a health issue, due to my obesity, I had to come up with a program for myself. Tried many programs, and always failed. I have found, discovered my own program, that works 100%. I really want to share what I've discovered, and I'm extremely excited about my discovery. Plus, I'm 61 years old, I couldn't believe I loss over 40 lb. I don't have the first clue about becoming a coach, could use all the feedback possible. I feel better, have more energy, then I have had, in the last 20 years. What I discovered isn't like any program out there. Really feel like I found the key to weight loss.
I’ve taken ACE, PN and NASM nutrition programs. NASMs course is by far the best. It’s the most comprehensive and they provide the best study materials with engaging content and videos. Written and peer-reviewed by over 20 experts (PhDs, RDs).
Hey, I like to know more about your experience, I am just overwhelmed by all the information and who is being paid for sayin what, smh. My road is rather personal, in dealing with diabetes in the family and loss, and now my 12 year old daugher diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, so I am looking for a Certfied Nutrition program where I can work with those with chronic conditions, and I do see NCI has program in regards to Gut Health, wish it was combined with Fitness Component too.
@@brandywilliams575 I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. These sorts of conditions are beyond the scope of a nutrition coach and should be reserved for a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator (CDE), or physician. There's a lot at play with diabetes and IBD. All three programs (ACE, PN, NASM) will touch on these issues and provide general guidelines for healthy eating and how to monitor and evaluate daily eating habits. But getting down into the nitty-gritty, such as writing specific meal plans, identifying flare-ups and how to manage them, monitoring blood glucose and medications can only be done by a state-licensed health professional. You'll learn a lot about the science and application of nutrition in these programs, but diagnosing disease and managing the disease from a nutrition medical standpoint is not discussed in any of them. A licensed professional knowledgeable about endocrinology is needed.
@@BS-by5nw Totally agree, it is more of just providing the right nutrition for her and for myself. I have a BS in Community Health Education and minor in Kinesiology, and would like to be certified as a Nutrionist just to help those in my neighborhood who know nothing preparing good, what exactly to eat and avoid, etc. My child has her doctor, but I just need to understand eating healthy more for my family as a whole.

Hi Laura, Thanks for this review. I want to ask, Do you recommend NCI for someone who’s a beginner and has little knowledge about Nutrition? I saw that the NCI Level 1 program is just a 2-days course. I’m not sure if I can learn and start coaching after that 2-day course. Is it possible? Or they only offer it for people who’re working with clients already? Really don’t know how the program will run. Thanks😊
Hi Arvin! They approach nutrition in a really easy-to-understand way and the nice thing is that they require you to work with two guinea pig clients in order to receive your certification. They've got weekly calls for people going through the course where you can ask questions and the community is super responsive. So if there's a concept you're struggling with you'll be able to get an answer fairly quickly. While it's only a 2 day course, it's really a 3 month long process since you actually have to coach two people. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!
So I still get a support from them until I finish working with the clients and get my certification. Now I understand. Maybe I’ll try to contact them. Thanks for the response. Really appreciate😇

I just finished the ISSA nutrition certificate and I did not like it. It doesn't give any pratical scenario and how to apply what you learned. I feel lost.
