So I have one of my white inks clogged for some days now, its printing well but that ink wont move, what should I do once I empty the tank like you showed?

Thanks , do you have to mix the inks before you print ? Say if you use the machine once a week etc ?
After you do your maintenance, try running 1 head clean or printing a purge sheet. This should get ink flowing to the head; so your initial print doesn't fade, at the top. I'll be following your DTF Journey.

How do you print a purge sheet?
@@gigglesandcurlz you can create a rectangle containing CMYK and white or whichever singular color you want to purge, in your design software. Then, import that image into the RIP software and run it as a print. This should force ink through those channels, by printing those colors
i have an issue with my epson where it came in defective. i need to return it but i already put sub ink in it so i need to drain it bc i can't afford for them to say they won't refund me due to the ink inside of it even though it was defective upon unboxing and has nothing to do with the ink. so ty for this video. i want the area to be completeley clean though so once i get out the ink is there something i can do to really make sure its allllll out and like new? Thanks for the video! I have ET 8550 doing DTF, Is it normal to have to run a printhead cleaning every day before you print anything? if not, is it the ink I'm using? is there any thing I need to do daily at the end of the day?
So I been having problems with the cyan I drained last night and refilled and it still won’t print the blue what should I do please help me
I was following the steps suggested and after clean up, my print head gets stuck on the left side and makes a screenching sound when I power it on. Error shown is 000031. Any idea how I can resolve this?
Is this the same thing I would do if my black was clogged?
The main reason this printer doesn’t really clog is because the dampers have are basically a big hole like .75 inches tall by like .30-.50 inches wide. Basically the same as the XP-15000 but without the sponges.
Btw you can run the ink tanks outside, it takes a little bit of time to take the printer apart but after you can run the tanks outside with tubing extensions and then you can shake them easier.
Cool, I didn't know. You should tell the people on facebook, they still don't believe it doesn't clog easy haha.
I'll look into that, right now I have the printer on a foldable table that rocks, its seems to be working for shaking the inks.

Have you ever had an issue with the white ink not going in the printer from the bottle? I put ink in the other color but the white ink won't go in. It just drips when I take the bottle out.

Great videos as usual... I just converted my Et8550 however, I'm getting broken lines on all colours when i do my nossle check, even after several head clean and a power clean... my prints still look good though.. any idea?

What syringe did you buy?
accidentally put regular ink in the et-8550 which i had converted to sublimation. what do i do now? drain with syringe, flush with alcohol and replace ink with sublimation ink?

Is there any way to adjust the platen gap or move the head higher? My printer head keeps striking and smearing.
If its the ET-8550, goto printer settings and set to paper type to thick paper, this will stop smearing.
So i bought this printer for making T-shirts. But didn’t realize there were different methods for printing and needed certain inks for each one. First I thought printable vinyl is what I had to use. Then last week I learn about sublimation. And tonight I’m learning about the dtf method. Which apparently works on all fabrics?? Unfortunately when I did my startup on my on my printer I filled it with the dye ink it came with. Do you think using the syringe like that would be effective enough to clean out the original ink so I can fill the tanks up with dtf ink? What would you recommend?
Hi I recommend DTF if you plan to make t-shirts. Yes you can drain the old ink from the tanks and then if needed run some solution through to clean them.

No idea, I'm not familiar with Sublimation. Just DTF

Yes the ink can be reused once removed.
Not dtf related but i have the same printer and use hiipoo ink. My printer keeps smudging on the return pass and printing a blue shadow of images. How do i fix that. I did all the recommended print head cleaning tests on the printer and it still does it
Try turning off Bidirectional printing in the printer settings....worked for me
Which software do you recommend with this printer? I’m getting ready to purchase one of them and would like to know which is the easiest for first time users
Ekprint is the simplest to use, Acrorip is what I currently you use it has a couple more options but it does not print transparent design very well. Cadlink digital factory 10 if you want a more professional software, has the most options and can print transparent images.
I would go Ekprint or Acrorip.

Hey, Budd, my 8550 printer does print colors like when I first bought it. Yellow doesn't print, period. How can I restore it? Will this cleaning help out?
Blue prints baby blue.
Black prints purple.
Yellow prints blank
Magenta prints okay.
green prints a different hue.
Hi, look into dtf maintenance, you most likely have clogs.
I am trying to remove my rollers and I am having no luck.
In doing this my print head went all the way left and locked there. How do i release the print head from a locked position on the left side of the printer.
Make sure nothing is in it's way preventing it from returning

I watched your setup video and got everything done without issue.... (yay me?!)
Now, I've loaded the ink tank with my DTF printer (which was brand new, ink was brand new as well) and when I performed a print nozzle check, it "printed" but there was no ink on the paper.
Would a new printer need a print head clean? I've been doing sub for years with cartridges and know they sometimes need to be primed... is there any situations like this with ET printers and DTF ink? Or are you as stumped as me?
Did you put ink in after the initialization?

That's why. During the initialization the printer pulls ink into the print head. You need to run a power clean.

How do you clean the rollers
I usually take cleaning solution on a microfiber towel or foam sponge and wipe them down.
In the maintenance settings, there's a paper guide clean, use that too.

No I do not, if the channels were clogged prior or the ciss is not connected properly, you'll have issues.

Never, unless the tanks need to be drained for some reason and I don't use the tanks anymore I use a ciss instead.

So I've just converted my 8550 fresh out the box and my cyan leaked through the bottom thought maybe the bottom wasn't installed right but after using the printer learning process I needed to refill it again and sure enough it leaked again... I'm still going through the trial and errors learning but now when I run a nozzle check the white seems to have some cyan... can you please help me on what I can do to get it right.. I spent lots of money on this investment between the printer program and accessories for it to go to waste... 😢

Yes, you'll need to clear it and clean it to get all the black ink out.
After removing the ink, why do you throw it away and not reuse it? Just asking because I seriously don’t know.
No specific reason. This was video was just to demonstrate how to pull the ink. You could reuse the ink.
Once removing the ink and adding new ink, what has to be done to ensure the ink is drawn back into the head?
Using the Power clean function will pull ink into the head.

You have to download a rip software which basically tells the printer what to do. So it will tell the printer to print white from those tanks and put it behind the image

Hi! Both of my white lines are clogged. I tried pulling ink with a syringe but was having a lot of resistance..not able to flush from the tube and each white tank is still full. How can I get the white ink out of the tanks and attempt to flush the lines?
Update... after much pulling with the syringe, ink finally flowed thru the lines💪🏾💪🏾
There's a much easier way to force ink out of the tanks and into the print head.

So how is this machine still doing for dtf
It was going well until I got cleaning solution into the printhead while I let it wetcap. The printer won't turn on, Epson sent me a replacement.

Is there a reason that you use a book while printing?
It was to keep the prints leveled stop from drooping down while printing. You need an exit tray for dtf.

If you're using the PhotoBlack Channel for white, its that channel causing. You can use the Black channel for white or clean the Photo Channel.

You have to remove the front, top and side panels.
Why are you removing the ink anyway? Does it go bad after a certain amount of time? I want to convert so trying to figure everything out first.
Just to show how to get the ink out. It wasn't necessary. Yes the ink will go bad after a certain time. Exactly how long I'm not sure. I get my inks from Dtfsuperstore and had no issues.

None besides the syringe and the tube. I'm going to try using cleaning solution in the tank next time to get out any ink residue that may be building up in there.
