I liked the comparison. I wasn't surprised though. It's the same with watercolor paints. Crayola watercolor paints are vastly different than the nice paints. I usually hear crafters say to use the best you can afford on your budget.

I always oil my plates before I store them, but I always wipe over them with a cloth with washing up liquid when I take them out, ready to use.
