skating flat in a garage will always be the best, especially remembering how you started out being afraid to commit.
Also best flatground trick is definitely a swtich shifty
back heel with a car coming behind you, nice! and flatground skating is amazing, so fun to do, so important in skateboarding progression!
Haha you noticed that!
skateboarding in the neighborhood is such a core memory
where it all began!
Flatground is and will always be my main focus, due to the fact I will be able to do it much longer than jumping off stairs. As a skater of 17 years , in my early days I would do stairs a lot but over time I would get a lot more injuries. I still occasionally do stairs in my 30’s now but flatground will always be number one to me! Thanks for the video and advice , much love and happy new year!
True! Its nice we can always revisit it! Happy new year!
Have been neglecting my flat game for ages. When i got to the point where i was able to hit spots and skate more of the skateparks, i forgot much of my flat tricks. I recently moved home to my parents after splitting up with my girlfriend, my parents live in a small town with minimal spots and no skaters, just going out for a flat skate have been so good feeling. A lot of emotions need to get out, and the flat practice, madness that comes with it really helps to burn out some steam. When i land a new trick or relearn an old one, it feels so good, i get some good joy back, that have been scarce for a little while.
Sorry for the long comment, got to whrite feelings down every once in a while.
Good video, got me motivated to skate!
I think that’s huge, skating does allow us an outlet, also our progression sometimes gets amped up when we’re looking for a way to deal with our emotions. Good point, thanks for that
Flat ground teaches discipline and builds up your control on the board overall. It also teaches u how to gain proper strength to get a better pop out of your tricks
very nicely said love the vibe! nice sound too!
digging the sound too!
man! love your style
yo man i'm from Scotland and really enjoying your content , glad I found your channel. I've set myself the goal of consistent flatground kickflips by the end of the year. Right now its taking me around 50 attempts for 3 successful kickflips. It's a real grind sometimes but this video sparked my motivation
That’s really sick to hear! Thx for watching. Also, your curve of consistency will come around with that effort 👊🏼.
congrats on 1k subscribers! Well deserved
thank you !!
Favo and best feeling trick for me will always be varial heel.
nice! just wanted to suggest an external mic and some sound level mixing. music is really loud and your voice is low in the mix. just a suggestion!
Great video! Glad I caught this in my recommended! Dropped a sub;)
thank you!

Thanks John 🔥🙏🏼
Favorite flat ground trick is kick flip at max speed
Nice vid bro
Thank u!!
3rd reason I already knew lol flat ground looks awesome but if it was simple everyone would do it
Love this bro, got any tips on impossibles or front 3’s?
Tip on front 3s make sure you are looking over your shoulder after your 1st 180 rotation, then forcing your board into completing the full rotation. And thanks !
@@liam_dawson WORDDD thanks man
Ollie north frontside 180
Haha I see it could be !
as an old man, I completely agree. There's an interview somewhere deep in the skate archives where Wu Welsh talks about how important it is.
Thank you for your wisdom Father Time 🧙🏽♂😂🤣
Hospital heelflip or casper heel however you want to call it. somehow the easiest trick i know yet nobody else seems to be able to do it.
That’s sick, I wonder what else you got up your sleeve if that’s easy to you!
Bs Flip, nollie flip, fakie front shuv or nollie bs bigspin
it’s “passersby”, if you care
Yes! That matters
