Don’t get me wrong Jeff is an awesome dude but the reason he didn’t do that good last year(other than technical difficulties) was because he had that “oh well” mentality
@@spedler61 That, and he wasn't all that comfortable on the Honda. I think since he's more comfortable with the KTM, he feels more confident. So, I think he'll do much better this season.
@@GodOfWar221 hmmm but he bleeds red though? He went from Honda to husky then back to Honda and now the ktm. You wouldn't go back to something you weren't comfortable on surely?
@@alexandrakingi8502 I can see a clear difference in how much faster he is on THIS particular KTM. It's a factory edition race spec beast machine... he clearly gels better, plus it's a better bike. He flies around corners now
Alexandra Kingi he went back to the Honda because earlier before he actually got onto the team chaparral Honda he was offered the spot so he wanted to get back comfy with the Honda before he went and raced for chaparral
Movin' so much dirt I thought I'd accidentally clicked on a promo for Gold Rush series 12! Your switch is so evident in your cornering speed. The brand swap will pay off big time Jeff 🙌
Jeff your hitting all my home tracks lately and its awesome to see you ripping on some familiar turf. Ironically I'm down in Florida now haha. I really wish I could train during the week but I don't know how to get motos in with work. Any tips?
holy shit the speed you carry through that long left turn is just insane dude🤙🏼. As an Austrian I must say it's great to see how well the KTM suits you.
I’m pumped that your on a ktm now and you look like your having an absolute blast and gaining more confidence and speed riding the new ktm works 450, much love man, keep blasting out great content ❤️
Yes keep pushing it to the limits, training like Ken Roczen you're be the next champ. You got it push little more every time you will no doubt be at the top.
The revs definitely pick up a little quicker on map two and the power arrives a bit quicker and smoother in map two but as you are such a good rider you make it up with muscling your bike around
alright Jeff I hope you see this comment but I have a challenge for you, on my 125 I held it open in 5th on that super long sweeper before the back section and rode the edge with almost crashing. I want you to try and hold it either half or full throttle in 3rd or whatever gear you hit it in. That would be so rad!
I will have to say Jeff the tracks you ride are pretty simplistic, you should come to Cali and train out here all year long. Fox you've been to, but for instance Perris Mx is pretty sick. The inside ruts were up to my knees last night. They're choppy and beat up so it's a little more challenging than the ever revolving sand ruts you hit.
I was looking for a old write up on Dave Thorpe 3 times world champion 500cc and vet champion. He used to go to a sand track for a day on the HRC 500 with his father and practice cornering but push the front until it would wash out and try and hold it. So much so that at the end off the day he would have no side knobbles on the front or rear tyre but his centre knobs would be ok.
Your outside lines look a lot faster. Also you moved a lot more easier through the traffic due to your line choices. Keep pushing for those extra tenths of a second for the nationals.
Looking great Jeff! Any faster in those corners and you'll have to put a G suit on. Keep the grind alive!! If you don't mind if I ask, could you remind me which GoPro mount you run?
Map 2 sounds more free revving across the low and mid range.. And low end pull at slow turns looks and sound more crisp and free..map 1 might be too relax for u Jeff.. 😂 Definately looking good and ur ripping the track dude.. Can wait for ur races.. Keep it up and good luck. 👍👍👍
I am not a EMT but if its practice day and someone has a gnarly crash I always stop to help. Especially if no one is there yet. He must have did one helluva get off! Look where he was compared to his bike!
Yeah, I'd definitely say that you're gelling with this KTM much better than the Honda. Your flow is much smoother, and you acceleration out of the corners..is much quicker, and snappier. Can't wait to see, what kind of damage you can do in qualifying for the Nationals. Speaking of which, do you plan on racing all of them this year?
What are you using to track your lap times? Hopefully a litpro style gps tracker. Even though there’s pretty large speculation about its reliability of their official timing given that they won’t subject it to other standardized testing or release a public white paper, its still probably the most reliable which matters for 10ths and 100ths of seconds
I have a 2020 250 and I feel like map 1 revs out faster and doesn’t have as much power in the higher rpms that I want. I run the 2nd map on most tracks but if it’s a tighter track Or an outdoor sx track I run the first map.
If I put my Twisted videos on 2x speed they are this fast. Dude you are RIPPING that track apart. Anyone know what day this was? I think I may have been there.
dont know if this would be possible but would be awesome if you could get 3rd person footage off you riding from somone following you or maybe drone footage or something
I have a hi son clutch on my crf450r and it dosent seem to disengage and stalles when in gear and clutch pulled in. (We tried adjusting the cable and stuff) and my dad thinks the clutch plates are stuck together. Does anyone know how to release them?
Dude I own a 2018 Honda! And I all I can say is fuck that bike... Your flying on this thing! Who cares what these guys are saying about leaving the red behind l, the way you’re riding on the orange bike means much more then being loyal to a colour... I hope you get some top 20’s this summer and thanks for keeping it real. ✊🏻
Just jump smaller jumps and work your way up as time goes. Corning is so much more important than jumps that’s where you make up time on people not the jumps
Ride more. Start with safer jumps, table tops or doubles with very gentle second hill, follow someone else over it if you're unsure the speed. Listen to your fear, it might be telling you that you're not ready yet and need more time on the bike.
RPM management. Being smooth on the throttle will keep you more stable/horizontal. Cutting the throttle too early will pitch you too far forward and absolutely pinning it through the jump will pitch you backwards. Also, stand up when you're going to jump. I'm definitely no pro but these things helped me conquer my fear of jumping.
I think all of us may be more excited for Jeff to race the nationals more than Jeff is lol
absolutely!
Yeah probably 🤣
