Under the display is another button button 4 in the manual and it is supposed to:
Activate the walking assistance.
In the beginning I didn't understand what it was supposed to do, but now it is clear.
Your works? Mine has been factory disabled. Very infuriating at times.
Thank you so much. So simple and so clear. I especially liked the *plastic clip* part 2:33 because after a year of riding my Haibike, this is the first time I have heard about that clip! In fact, this is the first time I have noticed that clip myself. So, you can imagine how relieved I am. You just saved my power cable. I also liked the *changing the clock* part 1:45. My bike came with no user manual for the display unit. So, thumbs up to you.
If your cord unplug without specifically sliding that clip away from the battery...your plug is broken. Do not let it unplug while still charging.

I have a 2016 (2017?) Haibike Fulll Nin'r with the PW-CE motor. Wonderful bike yet no one can get the walk assist to work. Have you found what software/hardware change is required to activate walk assist?
If I remember correctly, there was no way to get it to work. Faint memory about this same question.
Yamaha PW-SE, Yamaha PWseries 45, and PW-X bikes are really interesting and you could investigate this further for me, I have a Haibike with the old PW system, well the new PW-SE can interchange with the old system but you got to swap out the LCD screen with the newer screens. I want the newer system but what is a guy supposed to do if they want to swap out the old for the new? Yamaha PWseries 45 is the 28MPH speed pedelec, I would love to have this system over the old PW system as well, so if you could link up with Yamaha about trying to upgrade to the newer motors, many of your subscribers could benefit from what you find out Mikey?
Can the bike be ridden with power, but without the display?

I lost it and I want to buy it, but I don't know whether to buy the 2015 version or earlier. Or 2016 or later. Please note that I am looking for this same screen
You'd have to go to the shop you bought it from, or a local dealer who carries the brand.
The display shown here was used on many brands of Yamaha-powered eBikes. They are rvery rare, I found one yet it was over $500.
My ebike is a 2017 all mountain 5.0 and I can not fi d how to display the temperature, or this feature is not available?
Thank you for the nice presentation.But one think in my mind is not clear is that, the motor can recharge even the battery is zero?If the answer is "yes" how long it can charge the dead battery to full battery charge "On bike mode"? secondly, from fully charge battery, for how long the Bike(on assist mode) can travel in distance or in time?
The pedaling does not charger the battery.
Range is highly inaccurate in a sense of time. Kind of like, how full do you feel when eating cold food. The answer depends on so many things

If your battery actually measures zero...its toast. The charger will not begin charging at all if the battery measures too low.

i have a haibike sduro hardnine 2.0 . i have lcd display but i have seen some video that people have degree measures on the display do you now how to get that turned on? + do you now where i can get some pumps for the front shocks?
You can buy shock (fork) pumps everywhere. Fox makes a good one.

Could you please tell me how to determine the year model of my yamaha electric systems? I'm trying to find a spare display and all the suppliers ask for the year model as apparently they're not compatible. someone said about the buttons, another about a code at the bottom of the bike..... what to do?
Yamaha electricals are available on many different brands. If removable, send them a picture of the display mount. If not, the manufaturer should be able to help with just the serial number. Stand ready to be shocked at the cost of a display. Some are over $600 or more.

Nope. What you bought is what you got. You may be able to purchase a box that mounts on the bike that unlocks the top speed yet they do not always work or work very well.
Hi I want to replace Yamaha LED controller to LCD on a Haibike Hard Life 4.0 (2017) - is it as simple as disconnecting LED control cable at hub motor and replacing with LCD multi function controller. Thanks in advance

They must have changed the quick disconnect when you drop the yahama hub and pull down the cables the quick connectors could be found. Maybe changed to prevent chipping?
It not that simple. The controller are usually not interchangeable. Even if you change the motor.
