One issue is that we think in collections. It has become the norm to own several of one product category: eyeshadow collection, perfume collection, shower products collection, sunglasses collection. We want to be prepared for every occasion and mood, allthough we never have those occasions, and are rarely in those moods. That goes hand in hand with the whole fantasy self idea. Being prepared for a life filled with glamorous parties, big events, dates, a jet set lifestyle, that is simply not ours. So how many glitter shadows do you REALLY need, how many colourful lipsticks, how many cocktail dresses, and how many beast mode party perfumes? But it's hard, because on social media this consumption behaviour is sold to us nonstop.
Someone who has the rare beauty “lip oil” here. It’s really a lip tint/stain that’s glossy. Just like k beauty lip tints. Coincidentally, it’s MADE IN KOREA. Selena just marketed it as a lip oil because it’s trendy. But it’s not overly glossy like one or thick, doesn’t fill in lip likes like a lip oil usually does.
And to mention- it’s NOT NOURISHING. It has two oils, and as someone with dry lips, on a bad dry lip day it does dry my lips out. Normally it doesn’t though. But I def wouldn’t call it a lip oil? Just a glossy lip tint/stain. If anyone is interested in this kind of product for a much more affordable price (typically under 10 dollars) you can find great ones with various shades of nude, pinks, brights from brands like Romand, peripera, I’m meme, and amuse is a little more Pricy.
Gosh, be careful saying anything even slightly negative about Rare Beauty. The fans might doxx you. I saw a youtuber review the packaging saying she's not a fan and people ripped her to shreds. 😩😂
I think the lens is working fine, you look very clear and I prefer a blurry/less distracting background. As far as the products- how many blushes do we need? I’ve never seen the point of huge blush collections. A pink, a peach, a nude/mauve, and a bronzer. That’s pretty much all I need.
Hannah Louise Poston has a video series called “dupe the vibes” where she creates a look using things she already has that have similar formulas to new launches that she’s interested in. You could do a similar concept, Kelly!

I'm one that loves this type of video. Not because I'm interested in any of those particular products to purchase but in general, the thought process helps me stick to my low buy. A craving to get the next Fun interesting product is a strong one, as well as fomo is a powerful motivation to purchase. I also remind myself that there can be too much of a good thing, meaning that if I already have a dozen blushes that I love, those will get less use, Decision fatigue sets in, and make up is supposed to be fun, not overwhelming.
Whenever I want to buy something luxury (minus foundation and primer, that’s where I splurge) I just remind myself it’s literally colored powder and colored cream and waxes. It brings me down back to earth lol. 😂❤
Makeup I refuse to buy is a little different as it’s not a specific item, it’s a few different categories. I’m not buying anymore eyeshadow palettes or liquid lipsticks. I have so many eyeshadow palettes, yet only really use the same one or two single shadows. As for liquid lipsticks, I NEVER reach for mine anymore, so I’m trying to be more mindful of what I buy! I swatched the new Dior blush shades in store and I gotta say I was a bit like *yawn*. The original colors (although duped alot now) we’re more original; especially for the time they came out. These ones are a bit boring. I do have to say that I am glad they offer deeper shades for deeper skin tones now but otherwise just not worth the price. There are sooooo many amazing blushes these days for alot less.
I have a monthly usage project where I collect 10-12 products or categories (eyeliner, lip product) and write them down on a white board with the exact usage number (12, 4, 6, etc). The whiteboard is on the wall above my vanity. I’ve been doing it for 7 months or so and I love it. It forces me to use products I often neglect, shows me what I don’t like, and it’s achievable because I set low usage goals
1:19 Unless money is no object, no one knows whether your eyeshadow is Elf or Dior. There may be a rare person who knows a specific shade, but shades look different on different skin tones. Invest your money for your health and retirement.

I've been so into peach blush lately too! I recently bought myself Milani Luminoso because I've heard good things about it in general (also bc Kackie Reviews Beauty likes it which says a lot to me since she's definitely a more luxury makeup girly) and I love it! I have to remind myself of that every time I see a new peach blush come out, especially a peach blush that's more expensive. I don't need more than one peach blush, and each blush I buy means I'll be using the blushes I already own and love less.
I must be living under a rock because I haven't heard of any of these. Those UD blushes look right up my alley but I've got to get through what I already have and this video was a good reminder!
Kelly, your makeup looks gorgeous here, the sparkle under the eyes is mesmerizing! Also liking the new lens, it's nice to have a wider view, I feel like a more narrow view can make it feel a bit claustrophobic... But use whichever one makes you feel the best, I'll watch regardless 🥰

To me pistachio yum smells like if pinksugar was a bit milder and added a bit of nuttyness and a little freshnes. Which goes away eventually and remains the marshmellowy sweet base. I like the scent itself and it's a nice perfume for sweet and gourmands lover but . But it's just not uncommon smell and has quite a repeatable base.
Oooh so in the 80s there was this green lipstick you could buy that was marketed as a "mood ring" type effect (rings that would change color based on your body heat). Same thing - it usually just resolved into some sort of pinky/red color. It was fun to put on though because it started clear and then "warmed up" to your color. The product was GREEN though, so it was very popular with kids. (Well, teens.) I'm... not sure how I feel about recycling this idea and attributing it to PH.
We need a Kelly Hair video!! I’m always searching for a foundation that I love (I think I have 5-6?), other than that I don’t buy much. If I am satisfied with a product I do not feel the need to replace it. In fact I’m trying to make myself expand my blush and lipstick stick: I only have one blush and one lipstick!

However when I went to Sephora I grabbed the new Fenty blush and I carried it around for like an hour while I was in there. In the end I put it back because I wasn’t sure how it would apply over makeup and how it plays with powder but it swatched so beautiful and juicy. It was pretty. I did buy the Kayali perfume because it is so good. I don’t love gourmand but I love this scent. I am drawn to the UD blush. Even though I said I bought enough but this looks beautiful. Ugh. Send help!
The pistachio fragrance is so interesting. I hated it when I first bought it but now I am slowly warming up to it. Its not my fav perfume ever but I do like it. I personally feel that it doesnt smell very sweet. It gives off a very powdery fresh scent when I first put it on and then it sweetens up throughout the day to eventually smell like maybe a sweet fabric softener scent? I do find myself grabbing for it in this nice spring weather since most of my other fragrances are like a sticky ooey gooey gourmand or kind of deep smokey fragrances for winter.
I have a few high end blushes. I have so more drugstore blushes. Drug store have so many nice blushes. I don’t feel the need to buy high end when I can find a similar shade at the drugstore.
i have the dior gloss in mahogany and it’s the perfect dark honey cherry color that clinique originally had. i love the idea of the matching blush, but it would look crazy on me because of how pale i am
Matte girls unite! Except I love a glowy cheek. 😊 I just picked up Tarte's Maneater Blush and Glow in Peachy Pink and love love it. I wear it every day. It is so underrated. ❤
The Dior blushes are a truly great formula with amazing staying power and, for me, 100% worth the price tag. I have both of the original colors and might pick up a new shade or two in time. However, not everyone can afford that price, and there are less expensive blushes out there in similar colors. Luxury makeup can verge on the side of status symbol. If you can't afford to spend $40 on one blush, don't break the bank for it. Don't go into debt for it. Buy a cheaper blush in a similar color if it is the shade you are after. No one, I mean no one has ever seen me wearing the Dior blush and asked if it was Dior.
Have you tried the elf blush wands? Because I just do not think I like them. I have the rose all day shade and it’s a fine shade but it picks up so bad. I’ve used my fingers, a brush, a sponge wet and dry and every time I blend it out it just looks so patchy and as I’m blending it out it just picks up in certain spots and just disappears😅 idk I have a lot of blush I just wasn’t impressed. I do however love the iconic London blush duo which I know came out a while ago but I had wanted it for so long and it was on sale not a big sale but a sale and it hardly is ever on sale so I grabbed it and it’s just so pretty. I usually prefer matte powder blush but that one just looks so pretty. I also did grab the flower beauty blush the powder ones and I love the shade I got and the formula is so nice. I’ve tried a variety of cream and some I like but all of my favorites end up being powder
I love the Kayali perfume, I have a very sensitive sense of smell and horrible allergies and I can’t ever wear perfume because it always pulls florals on me, but this perfume doesn’t bother me at all.
It’s crazy how personal perfumes are. I purchased the travel spray of the kali pistachio perfume. And it was probably the worst perfume I have tried in over a decade. 😮

Honestly, the Dior blushes look gorgeous, but for that price tag I'd rather stick to my Trigwell cosmetics bright blushes. I don't get to wear these types of shades all throughout the year so I'd rather not spend that much on these super summery blush shades. The Trigwell ones are gorgeous and my favourites for the summer season. All I need!

0:39 The background is nice, you just need to change the light in the background, too large. Try medium string lights that are not too strong in the background. They always look nice in videos for a backdrop.
I own 4 blushes, two cream and two powder. The 4th one, the Winky Lux Cheeky Rose cream blush in Dodgy, is so beautiful and in ridiculous packaging and the most expensive one I've ever bought ($20). However, I walked Ulta in its entirety and could not find a similar color in a matte finish for cheaper, powder or cream. I even got an Ulta employee to help and she couldn't find one either. I was willing to pay for a product that I couldn't dupe, but I wouldn't normally ever buy something so extra (trust me, look it up.)
Girl same! I own 2and the packaging is cute but super weird shape and hard to store and I get it's meant to be something to display. My kids love them because of the packaging but the formula is actually really nice, not just a gimmick

I've had my Luminoso for a few years, using it 3-5x a week. That sucker lasts forever!!

When I was in Highschool, I was all about blush. But Now that I am an adult working, I am more into contour and highlight.

I have a few high end blushes. I have so more drugstore blushes. Drug store have so many nice blushes. I don’t feel the need to buy high end when I can find a similar shade at the drugstore.

i have the dior gloss in mahogany and it’s the perfect dark honey cherry color that clinique originally had. i love the idea of the matching blush, but it would look crazy on me because of how pale i am
Matte girls unite! Except I love a glowy cheek. 😊 I just picked up Tarte's Maneater Blush and Glow in Peachy Pink and love love it. I wear it every day. It is so underrated. ❤
The Dior blushes are a truly great formula with amazing staying power and, for me, 100% worth the price tag. I have both of the original colors and might pick up a new shade or two in time. However, not everyone can afford that price, and there are less expensive blushes out there in similar colors. Luxury makeup can verge on the side of status symbol. If you can't afford to spend $40 on one blush, don't break the bank for it. Don't go into debt for it. Buy a cheaper blush in a similar color if it is the shade you are after. No one, I mean no one has ever seen me wearing the Dior blush and asked if it was Dior.

Have you tried the elf blush wands? Because I just do not think I like them. I have the rose all day shade and it’s a fine shade but it picks up so bad. I’ve used my fingers, a brush, a sponge wet and dry and every time I blend it out it just looks so patchy and as I’m blending it out it just picks up in certain spots and just disappears😅 idk I have a lot of blush I just wasn’t impressed. I do however love the iconic London blush duo which I know came out a while ago but I had wanted it for so long and it was on sale not a big sale but a sale and it hardly is ever on sale so I grabbed it and it’s just so pretty. I usually prefer matte powder blush but that one just looks so pretty. I also did grab the flower beauty blush the powder ones and I love the shade I got and the formula is so nice. I’ve tried a variety of cream and some I like but all of my favorites end up being powder
I need to stop buying blush! It’s my favorite makeup product right now and I keep buying every single one that comes out! It’s a problem

I love the Kayali perfume, I have a very sensitive sense of smell and horrible allergies and I can’t ever wear perfume because it always pulls florals on me, but this perfume doesn’t bother me at all.

It’s crazy how personal perfumes are. I purchased the travel spray of the kali pistachio perfume. And it was probably the worst perfume I have tried in over a decade. 😮

The Rare Beauty lip oils were so bad for me! Only left a stain on my outer rim, left my lips super dry, and the oil/gloss only lasted about 20 minutes
Honestly, the Dior blushes look gorgeous, but for that price tag I'd rather stick to my Trigwell cosmetics bright blushes. I don't get to wear these types of shades all throughout the year so I'd rather not spend that much on these super summery blush shades. The Trigwell ones are gorgeous and my favourites for the summer season. All I need!

0:39 The background is nice, you just need to change the light in the background, too large. Try medium string lights that are not too strong in the background. They always look nice in videos for a backdrop.

I own 4 blushes, two cream and two powder. The 4th one, the Winky Lux Cheeky Rose cream blush in Dodgy, is so beautiful and in ridiculous packaging and the most expensive one I've ever bought ($20). However, I walked Ulta in its entirety and could not find a similar color in a matte finish for cheaper, powder or cream. I even got an Ulta employee to help and she couldn't find one either. I was willing to pay for a product that I couldn't dupe, but I wouldn't normally ever buy something so extra (trust me, look it up.)
Girl same! I own 2and the packaging is cute but super weird shape and hard to store and I get it's meant to be something to display. My kids love them because of the packaging but the formula is actually really nice, not just a gimmick
