I was searching for sweater knitting patterns all over. But these videos seem very helpful. Since you teach from the scratch amateurs like me can understand too. And the design is so really elegant and rare, loved it. Thank you so much.
Hi, I love the sweater but I was wondering if this can be done in 5X for my godson. I am doing this sweater in a large for a friend of mine. I have figured out how many cast on stitches that I would need for the front part. but can't figure how many rib tog stitches I would need. And how many rib group.
Hi. First I do apologize I knit in left handed way however, You can just knit in the opposite direction. I have the instructions written throughout the video too so as long as you follow what is written, whichever way you knit, you can follow along. For example when I say knit or purl, whether you are right or left handed you should be able to know how to do those stitches. It is like continental or english style knitting. It shouldn't matter which style of knitting you do because purl is a purl and a knit is a knit. Casting on is casting on and a rib stitch is a rib stitch. etc. Basically the stitches are the same, only difference is you work it in the opposite direction that I am working it. Good luck!
Hi. I am not too sure what you mean by border but I have the size measurements on Part 1 of this tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/9Y7fzzuhWRY/видео.html At 6 min 07 seconds of Part 1 you can find the measurements. If you are asking the length from the bottom of the sweater to the shoulder? For a small that i made mine measures about 65 cm long. But the length is totally custom to you. I show you the pattern and all you have to do is stop when the length of each part fits your size.
Hi. I think you may have just counted wrong. If you Rib 12=12sts, Rib2tog=1st, Rib 22(4times)=88sts, Rib2tog(4times)=4sts, Rib 12=12sts Then the total = 12+1+88+4+12=117. Try double checking your count because I kept getting 117.
@@hampuswadman8311 Thank you. You are close but it is: Rib 12, rib2tog, [(rib 22, rib2tog) 4times], rib 12 which will give you 117 if you add it all up.
Hi. If you change the size of the needle, the stitches get larger/smaller. From the rib stitch to the main pattern all the bigger needle will do is make the stitches larger. It is not that big of a deal if you don't change needle sizes. If you don't have the other needle size, you don't have to go out and buy one. You will be fine. The difference isn't too significant.
For medium size, you have given wrong instructions. The 3rd section of K1+P1 for 22 times does not take you to the end. The entire thing works up only for 117 stitches and 5 stitches are left undone.
I started by casting on 122 stitches for medium as u mentioned in part 1. But in part 2, the instructions work for 117 stitches only. Please suggest how to correct at this stage!
Hi. I double checked and the instructions are correct. I am looking at the beginning instructions in this PART 2: The reason we get 117 sts at the end is because a rib2tog is a decrease. So you're taking 2 sts and turning it into 1sts. In the instructions you are rib2tog a total of 5 times. Therefore 122-5=117 at the end. Hope that helped. So work the pattern per the instructions and you'll turn your 122 into 117 by the end of the row.
Very great tutorial... I thought knitting is hard. You have eased it❤. Thanks

Yes it is size small.
Is this left handed knitting?
Yes I am a lefty. But for right handed, you can do the opposite. I followed right handed tutorials. That's how I learned to knit.
Can you buy one circular knitting for me and send to me it’s okay

I'm doing a medium and am very confused. Im left with 4 stitches after the final group of 22? what did I do wrong?
Hi. I think you may have just counted wrong.
If you
Rib 12=12sts,
Rib2tog=1st,
Rib 22(4times)=88sts,
Rib2tog(4times)=4sts,
Rib 12=12sts
Then the total = 12+1+88+4+12=117. Try double checking your count because I kept getting 117.
However, in the video your explanation sounds like you are supposed to do:
Rib 12, rib2tog, rib 22, rib2tog [4times] and then do the rest normal.
@@hampuswadman8311 Thank you. You are close but it is:
Rib 12, rib2tog, [(rib 22, rib2tog) 4times], rib 12 which will give you 117 if you add it all up.

I did medium to and have 10 extra. From what your computation is I should have 5 left.
Sorry, forgot to tell you that will there 182 cast on stitches.
Is there a pattern? I’m finding it hard to follow along without one
Hi. Unfortunately there is no diagram pattern. I have written down the instructions for each row though throughout my videos.
What happen if we dont change the size of the needle?

You are amazing, sadly for me, I am right handed and this is not helping. It would help to have instructions from the right to left.
