I'm not much into the fantasy side of things but I love sci fi and especially solo games. And must say this series has so far been one of the most entertaining and genuinely funny things I have watched in a very long time. So much so I am postponing the last couple of episodes because I don't want it to end.
I think I remember Ivan mentiong the Cling Fire Pistol didn't have the Pistol quality due to balancing, but it's your game, so do as you think makes sense :D I fact that you can fail on the Search mission due to lack of luck on a roll is very wrong in my point of view. I'd either use an increasing chance starting at 4 +1 per failed roll, or always make the last object you search be the objective. I was just getting home thinking if I should play and record the next episode when I saw you published one. Watched it, got hyped, and now I'm about to play :D Thanks! Excellent episode once again
That's why the game has Story Points. In the end, it's your game, and you can house rule it to your preference. But the Story Point system is there to help smooth out the swinginess of the randomness.
@@chadnine3432 So, game design-wise, using a currency to fix a mechanic flaw is a bad idea. The player feels like he is paying for something he had no control over with a resource that is scarse. It's ok to use it to reroll a loot table you didn't like, or to reroll a casualty that happened in combat, but rerolling something because the mission failed completely due to pure lack of luck is... eh. And this fix I described is common in games. I mean, it's not even a huge change ::shrug::

I'd be surprised if it wasn't from Battle Systems like the other terrain, from the mailbag video he did. But I don't see it on their website, so maybe not!
Even though there's not a ton of story or characterization I've kind of gotten attached to these characters. In my mind Stein is this sort of in-over-his-head Han Solo type, while Katria is just a stone-cold killer.
32:10 For anyone playing this game: is there a way to have flashcards for everything relevant to a the situation? Some way to prevent/account for forgetting of rules? 😊
Did I count correctly? Did Kathria not only get first kill, but did she get 4 total kills in this one? Need to give her the long-range weapon so she doesn't have to keep moving. Let her sit still and snipe everyone. *grin*
As much as I love this series I am really looking forward to the adventures of old. More "random" fantasy story. Whenever you do eventually do season 4(?) It's been so long I can't remember. What system do you think you'll explore?

turn 2 Why did you force the 1 on Katria for reaction. She can just go in the slow phase. Vine was in danger and needed to move more than her.
