You went "Open General" and ended up in Intel? That sounds insane, but when you think about it, it's probably a very hard career field to recruit for. Not many would qualify.

Any update on space force enlistment for public, can enlisted get into internships at say spaceX

Yes, civilians have been and are currently enlisting as 1C6 and joining as USSF. Also the Space Force does have programs you can apply for to do internships but it is not guaranteed.

    Thanks for sharing ma'am!
I always enjoy hearing prior enlisted officer's back story.
Question, as a recent USSF transfer, I'm curious if a degree in Cyber security qualifies for 13S.
Also, I've heard rumors of a separate Space EW SFSC being created from 13S, is this true?

Right now the USSF is only taking specific degrees but I’d imagine them opening it up soon. But a recruiter might have more guidance on that question specifically.
They just started to divide out the 13S career field into “bins” and EW is one of them. But I’m sure down the line there will be changes to career fields as we solidify more as a branch.

I wonder if you could do a video on how to transfer if possible to the Space Force from another branch... I am currently active duty in the Navy on Submarines and im doing research on how to transfer if possible.. and I know of 3 others here in the Navy that are curious on the same thing... thanks in advance

I’m not 100% sure of this process but I can try to dig up more information on this.

    Hello m’am,
Love to see another success story enlisted to officer and making groundwork in the new branch that is USSF. How are you enjoying being a 13S? I’ll be applying from the army enlisted to 1C6 this month. Curious to hear from personnel directly switching and how the transition is. Also love you did AMU space studies degree I haven’t met anyone who liked it or applied it so would love to hear how you enjoyed the degree and what you got out of it.

I’m excited for my opportunity as a 13S, still in training for my job.
      Wish you luck! ❤️🇺🇸

I want to join you. I need a greencard first though. I just hope my chances are good with msc in mechatronics

I’m starting the Air Force Enlisting process eyeing Space Systems operations job. I do have a Bachelors Degree and waiting to Commission later in my process. I’ve never heard of the Space Force. Do they work directly with Air Force enlistments for this job? or would I need to finish this process with Space Force?

Air Force recruiters should have access to USSF recruiting also. If you join as 1C6 you will go directly into USSF. As USSF you would work with USAF a lot. Hope this helps.

I never understood the officer pay scale.
Could be a nuclear engineer and still make less than an officer first class. 😅
