I revere Mr Watts AND Krishnamurti, but when I watch K’s lectures on RUclips, he doesn’t seem to go on much with questions about “Why “ do you ask, etc. But he does reject methods as a way to Enlightenment, etc. Both men are such beautiful gifts to people like me. Stay tuned America! ..LOL!!>>!
So much of religion and other groups of spiritual practice becomes a "mine is better" or "I'm closer to the truth" game. I played that game for years as a Catholic doing apologetics which is exactly that. It's all a kind of theater that I eventually got tired of. So many people are concerned about image and being right about everything.
All that matters is what you believe, you cant change anyone but you namaste
We must not think we know better because we listen to Alan Watts.
He's great at delivering concepts, but if we subscribe to concepts we're trapping ourselves like everyone else. Noone will ever have the answer for us, no striving will ever get us anywhere but where we are now. In a state of desire to be something else than what we are currently. Even me saying this is me thinking I'm more right than those that follow his advice. And yet I also follow his advice and feel as though it's opening my eyes. Seems like the mind is just one giant cycle. How can mind debunk mind? If not by questioning oneself. Getting rid of concepts rather than applying concepts we view as being more right. But getting rid of concepts is also a concept. And no concept is better or worse than another. Isn't it all funny 😄

The technique to finding truth is finding God.
For ten years, I suffered from chronic Lyme disease, arthritis, gallbladder issues and constant chronic pain. I wanted to take my life and I tried to commit suicide. The doctors said I would not recover. I was in agony daily, and I watched others die around me with late stage diseases.
Prayer healed me when medicine failed me. God fully healed my disease. When Jesus found me I got baptized and started following the bible. God gave me a new family. My life is full of meaning. My heart is full of gratitude. I want to love others and share his work. You are unique to God and you are special to Him.
Today I am free from disease!
Don't listen to the people who hate and talk negatively. God is kind, patient and he loves you with an everlasting love. Seek the Lord while he may be found (Isaiah 55:6-9)

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

I think this is the deeper truth, which is difficult for the self to grasp. You cannot get rid of the self for two reasons: 1) the self isn't really there in the first place and 2) you cannot use the self, a collection of thoughts and concepts, to get rid of itself. The deeper truth, as I understand is, is just to recognize that the self isn't there... but you can't DO anything to recognize that. There is no technique because every technique and method is still based on the self. Thats why recognition is the key, to just watch it and find its absence.

There is a technique to find out truth, and it's called the scientific method.
The scientific method is a way to find truth only when u take the truth as defined by the scienfic method xD so i dont think so , although its good to establish falsifiable beliefs that are taken as true untill proven wrong, but its been done many time where scientific conclusions get proven wrong again and again after being true for years

@@khaledbenhouria4293 yes. Science is humble in that regard. It admits that nothing is so concrete it can't be proven wrong. Yet science is literally the only way we can know what is true and what is false. If something gets proven wrong, what lead its wrongness being discovered? Better science. What is wrong with that? If there is a gap in our scientific knowledge. What is wrong with that? It's all we as a species have.

Science says absolutely nothing about the nature of truth. That belongs to the realm of philosophy and metaphysics. Science relies on assumptions just like any other field of inquiry. There will always be a degree of faith to everything we do
