Hi Bull. Your garden looks amazing. I got my peach trees panted. It is about time. My tomato plants are monsters! The only thing I prune out are diseased, or dying branches. I haven't seen any hornworms, but I did find a few cutworms (now dead), and had to remove a few damaged tomatoes. I harvested my first slicer tomato of the season, a Thornburn's Terra-cotta. It had a mild, maybe slightly smokey flavor, looks wierd with it almost brown, and there is no tomato aftertaste. It is definitely going on my permanent grow list. I have more tomatoes blushing, so more tomatoes to harvesyt this week. My plants are loaded with fruit, and still flowering. Last year, hornworms devestated my tomato plants overnight, and ruined the harvest. This year, I have been proactive, spraying with Spinosad in the evenings every ten days. So far, it is looking like I will have a bumper crop, and tomatoes until fall. I have two tomato plants that I need to pot up tomorrow. Dang garden keeps growing. My orchard was supposed to be five fruit trees this year, and seven next year. Somehow has grown to eleven trees, and the garden easily spans a full acre. I'm still looking at getting four hens, a coop, and a pen. If I don't find one I like for a decent price, I'll have to break out the tools and make one. Of late, we've been having a mountain lion problem. Two of our cats dissapeared. At the time of their disappearance the mail-lady saw a mountain lion at the end of our driveway (cougar, puma, same thing). It comes with living out in the boonies. I'm not going to hunt it, but am considering having a loaded rifle on hand when working in the garden. This cat has no problem coming up to the porch to grab a meal.

Hello, Brother Bull. Those tomatoes are looking mighty fabulous! Today, I ate some home grown from my Mom’s yard. There is no comparison in flavor. The grocery store ones are so bland. Love and respect to you dear Brother.

Very good points here! My plants are growing like crazy so I need to get in & prune out some branches tomorrow hopefully. Usually my tomatoes go through a phase where the lower branches get sick and fall off, but then as the plants mature they grow out of it so I end up with a good view of everything. This year they're healthier & I have a jungle I have to stay on top of. I have this pest issue mainly with determinate varieties. The foliage grows so lush I can't see everything, then find out too late that my fruit had been covered with stink bugs & looking like pin cushions.
