So far, I've had a couple of people at the gas station ask, "what kind of car is that?". I'm still loving it like the 1st day I got it. My only gripe is the Automatic start and stop. They should've given owners the option to reverse the function of the button, or disable Auto start/stop completely.
Just was looking at one tonight. Looks very nice the price isn’t bad at all. $33k for the SE-Rline. The base model is $27k. I am just concerned about reliability with Volkswagen. 🤔 cause I keep my vehicles for more than 90% of Americans.
This new body Tiguan is our top seller! And from a reliabiity standpoint, it using the B-Cycle 2.0T which was also used in the Beetle and is currently being used in the Passat as well.
I think it is fine. I had Fender Audio in my GTI, but I have noticed that with other passengers in the Atlas that I have now, the sound system is more than enough. If I turn it up loud, others will complain. It sounds great to me. I have never heard a bad VW audio system.
It blows my mind that at this price point, being an R-line, and the fact that it has LED lights AND wireless charging that this suv does NOT have a power liftgate. I don't get it.
They actually moved this trim level DOWN from near the top to just above the SE trim level. In 2019, this had a heated steering wheel, digital cockpit, and ACC.
I don't see that happening anytime soon. They lowered the level at which the R-Line Black Edition is in the lineup. They dropped from the SEL level to SE level.
@@vwguru The Tiguan has poor MPG either way...VW can't make an engine w/more power that holds 18-24 MPG? People only complain about fuel economy when gas was $3+...Gas @ under $2...who cares if it gets 17 or 22mpg?
@@ostreds They still complain that it is not getting over 30 MPG. They come into the showroom all the time. They want it all. The Budack Cycle engine was designed to be more fuel efficient. the previous engine was 200 hp but it only got 20-23 MPG Hwy. I am not disagreeing with you, just giving an insight as to what we see.
@@vwguru interesting, they even state it when you do a "build & price". I wish I could take most of what the Forester Sport has to offer and put it in this body lol
Hey Reese! Thanks for sharing. The Tiguan proportions are good and the lines are nice and clean. Looks good in white. BTW, nice socks!
Thank you!
Thank you for posting! Very informative.
Great video. Thank you for putting this out there!
Glad you enjoyed it!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for explaining the stop & start can be disabled!!!.
Just got mine today! Love it
Congratulations!
One of the best car feature videos I've ever seen. You should do this professionally!
Thank you!
This Tiguan is 🔥🔥🔥
It is!
I bought mine yesterday! 😍
About to get mine this Saturday!! Can’t wait!!!
how do you find not having a power liftgate?

This a great video, appreciate you going into details. Does the Monster Matt’s come with this model?
This model does have them, however they are not standard.
Currently have a Tiguan SELL and I love it if will either replace it with an Audi Q3 or the Tiguan R.
Good car good comment

Reese - what's the audio (speaker system) like in the SE R-Line Black? Thank you!

@@vwguru Good to hear. (no pun intended) Thank you for your response!

@@vwguru I know, it's a bummer!
Reese what engine is in this Tiguan? You didn’t mention the powertrain!
2.0T.
So we’re talking just 200hp in their standard 4 cylinder 2.0T?
@@terrancehunter4137 184HP B-Cycle engine.
Does it come with LED headlights?
Only LED running lights.
Hello this trim has a heated steering?
No, it does not.
Great video and the car looks sweet, but over 30k and no damn power lift gate and no projector headlights????
I hope for LED every year.
Bought mine yesterday and am disappointed that it doesn't have a power gate But is a gorgeous car.
@@jewelofstyle yeah it is
Eye popping looks.
It’s a shame they have normal speedo in the R line , not the digital cockpit

Looks good exteriorwise....can they put a wimpier engine in there? 184hp??? Seriously? For that weight?
Americans care about engine power, but if they put a more powerful engine in there, then they would complain about the fuel economy.

I thought it was supposed to have black badging
No black badging although that would look awesome.
