I have one of those with the same functions and controls but with a plastic housing. The leads and clamps are identical. Haven't tried the wire feed yet, but the stick function works great. These little inverter welders are scorned by "real welders", but they work well and reliably, and with practice, they are all most hobbyists need.
Hi Bob, Yes, they are excellent, really. I have had a Chinese Mini inverter stick welder for years now, and it has never let me down. I actually couldn't weld at all with the old type welding machines. It was only when I bought an inverter type that I managed to get reasonably good welds.
@@SteveJordan Had cheap invertor stick welder few years now great bit of kit ,loads better than my old transformer buzz box . Just got cheap invertor MIG gas / gasless really pleased with it did try the fluxed wire but found welds are bit dirty and you struggle to see the weld pool with all the smoke /crap coming of weld . Flux core is acceptable as you don't need to drag bottle about but gas shield welding is so much better IMO (I just use Co2 Pub bottle ) Done alloy and mild steel at work with big welding plant ( qualified welder ) and was surprised how good this little welder is
Thank you for all your good videos. As a result of this video I purchased the European plug adaptor from Amazon , and I need to point out the following for you and your followers. I have put this review on Amazon..... Beware YOU can reverse connect your device and not be safe. This adapter is fine in every way BUT, YOU can connect your device in reverse, live and neutral swapped over. I discovered this because my soldering iron was beeping all the time , BUT it was switched off. Checking the internals of the iron revealed the power was reversed, allowing this strange behaviour. Plug your European plug in with the lead facing away from the earth pin on the adaptor. I have marked mine with green and red permanent marker. so the the red is covered by the lead and the green shows.
Hi I'm not sure. I've used it on angle iron ok. I have found its great to spot weld parts together as well. It is a great piece of equipment. I don't know a lot about welding, so maybe someone else can answer. Regards Steve

This one is earthed, and it's an excellent machine. I have several other Chinese welding machines that I have had for a few years now. I've never had any problems with them whatsoever. They are excellent in use. Regards Steve
This is flux-core wire, so produces a slag coating over the weld. Dragging is better, since you don't end up welding through the slag and getting inclusions. The lead angle shown here is probably excessive though.
Thanks for sharing Steve. I was given a gasless mig welder some time ago, which I haven't used yet. This has given me the incentive to have a go. Cheers Nobby

Welding is very useful skill to know and pretty cheap to enter.
Good ppe is more important than expensive welder.
I couldn’t agree more. A good quality mask is the best investment apart from time and patience
I agree. I have a good automatic welding mask. I normally wear a proper welding apron and gloves as well. Regards Steve
You mean that time my jeans caught fire was down to poor ppe😂
Thank you for all your good videos.

Hi. Many thanks for pointing that out. Best Regards Steve
Good video. Looks like a handy mig. I will look om the web. Thankyou
Good purchase Steve, they're super handy.
Thanks for this review. What is the maximum material thickness recommended for this unit?

Can this machine use 0.9 wire?
No, you will burn the welder out
Need shielding gas welder.
You do get what one pays for. But do please check to make sure the machine is properly Earthed
As many of these Chinese budget welders don't
This one is earthed, and it's an excellent machine. I have several other Chinese welding machines that I have had for a few years now. I've never had any problems with them whatsoever. They are excellent in use. Regards Steve
So it’s a Flux Core and Stick welder
Yes it is. Regards Steve
Nice piece of kit! Thanks for the review and demo. Take care and have a great weekend.
Thanks, you too! Regards Steve
You were dragging as in stick welding.......for TIG you need to push.
He was mig welding, not Tig welding!

@leonclose7823 I will look into the welding angle? I am still learning, so there's much I don't know about at the moment. Regards Steve
Gassless you drag, just like stick.

Its RUBBISH and won't Last Very Long 😂😂😂
