CCs technicals are paying off with over ten made free throws. elite scorers chirp all the time. James Luka never freaking stop chirping. And the free throw advantage for these guys are substantial. Keep it up.

I’m used to Warriors coach Steve Kerr saying after a bad game that him and his staff have to do a better job coaching and putting the players in a position to succeed. That is what high level coaches say.
Sides never sticks up for the players. I almost feel like she’s being paid by someone to sabotage CC and the FEVER
every close loss Sides has killed the momentum in the second half while the fever had a lead by benching CC. And then return her after a huge hole was created. Mitchel and Sides are both saboteurs. I haven't seen a more selfish player than Mitchel in a long time.

The WNBA really needs to put a end to the terrible rough play in the whole league before a player ends up being paralyzed. Sides is a lousy coach and probably corrupted by the illegal betting cult. She substitutes players when they get rolling. It`s obvious by now. Players that are flagrantly fouling with dangerous fouls need to be suspended for at least 5 games to start with. After that increase the suspension. his has to get done before a terrible injury happens. As far Sides, fire her.
A reporter asked coach Sides why did Clark get a tech and that was her answer. Instead of answering the question, she threw Clark under the bus. Also, coach sides doesn’t seem to be having their backs during the games either and getting ANY techs herself. This is weird. I’m a Warriors fan and used to coach Steve Kerr always having his players backs in press conferences.
I suspect she didnt know why Clark got the T, didnt bother finding out why, and didnt want to admit that, so she attacked Clark instead.

No she wasn't. I can tell you are new to the WNBA, and don't understand how lottery picks work. It's not like the WNBA, where the worst team every year enters the lottery. It's based on your 2 year record. Who has the worst record over 2 years. Christie Sides 1st year coaching the fever, last year, they won 13 games, more than the Mercury and Storm. The problem is the year before that, with another coach, they won 5 games, and the year before that won 6. Hence why they had high chances if getting the #1 pick. With Sides they had their best season in years.

@@snave59 I can’t really blame the coach because she’s not on the court. Bad shots, turnovers all come from the players. It’s the players who need to get it together. They all play sloppy including Clark. Too many people on that team want to be the star and until Boston and Clark develops their game this will probably be their worst season thus far.

24 points off turnovers, the defense was fine. The coach didn't say anything wrong. If the coach is called everything Caitlin Clark will have more offensive sales with that forearm she throws out. The coach didn't cause those turnovers the team did add Caitlin Clark single handedly caused half. A lot of this wouldn't happen if she improved on that mid range like the coach said. Both teams were equally terrible

You can’t make terrible coaching decisions and then complain about players getting upset. Nobody wants to play for a loser. Let alone someone who has an NCAA record and when there is another #1 and #2 pick on the team. If you can’t make that work, leave. Success will quiet down the arguments with reffing.

CC needs to take 20 shots every game. CC should be the volume shooter not Mitchell. CC is to unselfish sometimes. Now that the refs are starting to call fouls take the contact and shoot the Free throws.

I'm convinced Sides chairs a nightly zoom call on how to break CC. I would expect there will be a time when CC will refuse to be subbed out by her HC.
The coach and most of the team are trash. I would have Boston and Fagbenle in there with CC and maybe Nalyssa Smith. Trade the rest. They need better defenders and better shooters. Clark literally drags two of the other team's best defenders with her on every play and dishes to a wide open player. They simply can't hit their shots even when they are WIDE OPEN, or worse, they give up the wide open shot and stupidly drive back into the defense allowing them to recover. Jordan's Bulls were awful his first season, but they finally figured out that they had to build the entire team around him. The same needs to happen here. Coach Sides needs to go too....LIKE NOW!
PS- Coach Sides sitting CC at the 6 minute to 3 minute left marks in the 4th quarter is the most insanely stupid coaching I have ever seen!
Boston and Fagbenle keep coming out there setting screens the 3 ball opportunities will be there along with the rolls to the basket. Of course on the left side. double screen if you have to. That's what Iowa use to do. CC punishes teams on switches. The other source of her assists. Her college basketball-leading assists. IOwa was way better shooting team overall than the fever. If this pro level, more Iowa seniors should be in the WNBA. Davis and Gabby could shoot. And sixth year senior too.

Sides is pretty new as a head coach.....she's only been an assistant coach. I think she's in over her head. Places she's been Asst. Coach for Louisiana Tech, LSU, Spartak Moscow, Chi Sky, Northwestern, Indiana Fever, Louisiana-Monroe, Atlanta Dream.. and now back at the Fever as a Head coach. I know we need to give her time, since she's pretty new in position as well, but she never seems to take accountability for anything. In the press-conference she said that there were 5-6 fouls on Caitlin that were not called.. then later she says, let me get the Technical.. well Sides, get it. If you are seeing fouls that are not being called, be vocal. She's getting the heat, because she deserves some of it.

This is the story you are not telling-CC went 4 of 6 from the floor, 3 of 10 from the 3 point line, and 13 of 15 from the free throw line which is how she got 30 points and still complained about the officiating which went mostly her way. Not to mention she had 7 turnovers and five fouls, cc’s turnovers are half that of the entire team as usual. People turn in the coach because yawl don’t watch the games, you only see the pub reel.

As a coach with over 25 years experience I am seeing improvement each week. This team has been on the court together a little over a month, draft, training camp included. It takes time to settle into a system and for players to gel as a team. In addition to dealing with all the drama…
Coaches criticizing players is their JOB! I don’t care who you are or how talented you might be. There is always room for improvement. I have not heard Christie Sides say anything so egregious it deserves being fired. Actually she has been on target for the most part.

I am actually shocked and I give this girl Clark such credit because I think anyone else that was in her shoes and was the number one draw in the WNBA would be calling for her coaches head on such a terrible job. Her coach is doing and that her coach takes every possible moment to be able to, always give a dig a dig. That sides has never had Clarks back compared to her other players. They just don’t win because there is no coaching. I am shock because I know if it was me every post game I’d be like I need a real coach if we had a real coach would be winning games, if we had a coach that would be for us towards the end we wouldn’t lose by one or two points instead we have a coach that just lets us do whatever we want at the end and then it ends up being shot then we lose, that’s what I would be doing. Everybody watching these games can see all the times Caitlin is fouled and no call. For every foul called, they allow 7 to go uncalled. Plus I’ve noticed so many whistles are a “late” whistle. It’s like the refs have to listen to their earpiece, on whether or not they’re allowed to call a foul. Like there’s a game management plan someone is making sure they follow. Seems out there, I know. But remember, the World Series and the Lottery were “fixed” before. Guarantee when ppl first suspected that they were told it was nonsense.

Coach Sides has only been a head coach for two years and it shows. She needs to stay off of social media. Take responsibility for the loses. Stop using Clack as an escape goat. She wants CC to play her way. Which isn’t natural for her. Instead of building a system around her. Even Jr high coaches know how to build a team around their best players. How to create opening and opportunities for them. Coach Sides hasn’t done that. It’s like drafting a QB that’s plays good in the spread offense then try to make him play in a new system. I agree with the coach. One of the first things rookies have to learn is how to be a professional. Put any coach in the worst team in the league with no preseason practice, hardly any time to practice between games and WHAT DID PEOPLE EXPECT TO HAPPEN? Inserting a generational player in a losing team, even with the winningest coach in history. won't translate to instant success. Look at Wemby and Pop in San Antonio. Chemistry takes time to develop and taking potshots may make people feel good but just leave the Fever to work it out.

Quit complaining and start playing are the exact words my coaches would have said. Sides is not missing layups. She also is not dropping wide open passes. Sides is not setting screens or getting rebounds. I read these statements from people and most are complaining about what the players aren't doing. Sies is criticized for bad substitutions and not sticking up for her players. The score players 4 Sides 2.
Sorry but getting a technical foul for asking what the foul was for is just wrong because how is a player supposed to know what they are doing wrong in order to not do it again help them especially then if their own coach isn’t going to step up to fight for them and get the technical herself and find out what the foul was for…she don’t want them talking to the refs then maybe she needs to do it for them…same with using her challenges which she never does.
Caitlin got a foil for trying to protect a player from the opponent team that was down under the basket and was about to be trampled and yet when her teammates got in the refs face they didn’t get fouled or even a technical which is why the fever team and even Caitlin are getting frustrated because they get fouls called on them that don’t get called on the other teams while all they have to do is breathe on the opposing team at times and it gets them fouled. There needs to be consistency plus the prison ball aspect needs to stop. I know a lot of people like it but the fact that the WNBA allows for stuff that even the NBA has banned shows they need to move with the time’s especially if they want to go mainstream because now with so many young girls watching. You know their mamas are going to be like no way am I going to let you watch this violence and think it is acceptable and praise it.
Plus many of the hits, defense being done on Clark gets fouled on other rookies with that one exception with Angel. Yet the fans went crazy calling for her to be suspended and went on a spamming spree which is a bit overboard and nuts. Yet when it’s done to Clark people praise it saying it’s good defense, that she needs to toughen up. Stop being a cry baby and hit the gym.
Yet they are allowed to outright hit her in the head knocking her to the ground intentionally, have their arms wrapped around her, be grabbing and yanking on her all night without being fouled two to three people at a time yet it’s all good and some how she just isn’t doing enough for her team.
No one is factoring in the fact that she is for the first time away from her family now, living in a hotel, having to play 3-4 games a week on a team that had only 9 practices together before the start of the season leaving no time to build chemistry or even decide who will be the starting lineup, develop plays, devise screens, teach anything let alone work on weaknesses in their fundamentals which they desperately need. Yet they then have a coach who for some reason always once Clark gets the team going on a run will pull her out allow with whoever else has the hot hand to put in Wheeler who can’t shoot, can’t defend and always turns over the ball allowing the opposition to go on a run. Making them now go down by double digits but does she stop the bleeding by calling a timeout to put them back in, no she doesn’t she waits. Then looks to Clark for a miracle to now bring them back and win. Yet somehow it’s the teams fault that they aren’t winning. Sorry coach but it’s on you and the fact that you don’t make the right substitutions with players, make the right plays and keep pulling out your best players at the key moments. Even I who never coached knows this.
Why is your best PG option in Grace and best defensive player sitting on the bench? Why keep using Wheeler?
Sorry but the coach needs to go unless it is their plan to loose in order to get the number 1 pick again next year to get Paige…then she is right on track. Because sorry 1 player doesn’t win or loose a game, it takes a team but more so a coach that knows how to run the right plays when it counts in the end.
Plus no one is talking about how they won in the last sparks game their coach went MIA during the last timeout…it was the team that won that one not the coach…if she was there they more then likely would have lost it as well.

As a coach you never chaste publicly or during the game. You watch analyze, say please come to me. Let me talk the official. The coach is not a coach for any team.
Sides may not make it only because of the court of public opinion.
