Good idea making the hotel reservation. Now you can relax and enjoy the party and then be rested for the drive home the next morning and still enjoy your next event 😊 Have a wonderful time at each one!!!

Yes! In the past, we have driven home. It's over an hour from our home and ends late at night. This year they are having it at a venue that's a little bit farther yet, so it will definitely be nice to just go upstairs to our bed rather than have that long drive home late at night.

Awwww, snoring pupper! 🤣🥰 You seem more rested today, good to see. 😊
    P.S. - I'm with Brad. I really don't like driving other people's vehicles. 🙂

Yes! I felt great today!!! Thanks for noticing!
I probably wouldn't want to drive his parents' cars. It probably doesn't bother me because it's my own parents and I'm close to them.

I grew up near Kraynaks. It was like going down memory lane. 😊

Oh that's so wonderful! I'm glad you got a little bit of memory lane out of this video. That makes my heart so happy. ❤️

Yay! Glad you are feeling in a good spot. When I’m in a down session, I spend lots more time with our Lord. Reading, praying, something always comes of that to pull me up. And often times it is thinking I that I need to do things that aren’t necessary. Christmas is a great time of year for causing that overwhelming feeling. For th8nk ing we need so much for Christmas to be good. That’s when I remember simple is best, it’s the caring, family, and friendships that count. Sometimes we have a glorious celebration, and at others it is very austere one, but full of love and sharing what we do have. What ever situation, I go with the Scandinavian style, making things feel warm, comfortable and cosy, rather than doing all the things.
This year there are very few decorations going up, but there is a tree. We are focusing on a lovely meal, with nice treats, rather than gifts. The sump pump for our perimeter drains around the house failed during a very intense rain storm and the bottom of the house flooded. My daughter and our 2 grandchildren had their home there. They have moved to a friends suite for now, but it is a commute everyday which we help with (school) Hubby and I have been sick. But we are all happy and managing with much lower expectations this year, and sending the kids to my eldest for Christmas where they can have some winter fun. So only the 2 home this year.
As for the flooding, insurance has come through, and they have taken out all the flooring and the lower 2 feet of gyprock. Now we are waiting on the repair estimates, then the renovations will begin. This is supposed be taken as encouragement, not a sob story….. but typing out in comments is not my forte! Just showing we can find gratefulness to help in those stressed moments, and that eases much of the difficulties you can get to full of at this time of year especially
Wishing you a Merry Christmas! And I love the lights in your shrubs too, they are beautiful! As is all the snowy scenes! God Bless!

The unknown German brand looks like Lana Grossa Meilenweit 6-fach. Enjoy the busy weekend. As an introvert I wouldn't be looking forward to it, but sometimes you just have to do it. Good idea to have a room at the hotel!

Have a great extended weekend, Amber. I feel like I’ve been on a hamster wheel for a long time now. I go to PT twice a week, and volunteer one day. I’ve also had a couple doctor appointments and a hair appointment thrown in every three weeks. We are doing some remodeling of our kitchen, so everything is in disarray. We ordered a new refrigerator that was to come tonight. And our old one is going downstairs to replace an even older one. Long story short after cleaning out the refrigerator for several hours ( I completely tore it apart) and placing the frozen food in bags and the cold food in bins to sit outside to keep cold, the phone rang and now it will be next week before the new one comes. It is good for my husband who will have finished the remodel, but I was a little overwhelmed from the long hours of work I put in. To be transparent, they would have come very late tonight…after 10, or they offered to come tomorrow, but the hubby thought next week would be better. So there is that. My back is really giving me a hard time, so I was eager to rest and watch vlogmas from my favorite people. We didn’t get as much snow as you did today. But it did turn cold. I have never been to Kraynaks, but some year will make the trip. Thank you for sharing. Now I really want to go! I am behind on my advent socks and opening my calendar. I’m hoping to catch up on my Cozy Knitter socks tonight while I recuperate. PT should be interesting tomorrow. I love your scarf and shawl you showed. How soft and cozy! Well, take care. Stay warm tonight. Hope to see you tomorrow if you have some time. ❤❤ Cindi

Hi Cindi! Wow! So much work with your fridge! Good time of the year to do it though so you can set stuff outside (as long as animals wouldn't get into it. I don't think I could do that here. There are a lot of raccoons! )
It sounds like we both have been on the hamster wheel. It's always busy this time of year, but it feels exceptionally busy for us this year!
Just a tip if you ever make it to Kraynak's - going on a weekday, preferably midweek, unless you want to stand for hours in a line that wraps around the outside of the building! No joke. We had to go on a Saturday last year and we didn't even do the Christmas tree display part because of the line. Just went in and got our ornaments. So we were able to get in right away but it was still really packed. I prefer the pace of a weekday!

What happened to the blanket from Jimmy beans? I am doing the same but got stopped to do some gift knitting but I’ve been loving knitting that blanket. I’m more than half way done. Your blankets are beautiful. I always enjoy your podcasts. Merry Christmas 🎄

Love your decoration and the shop you went to looks amazing enjoy having your children around even though mine are now all married and much older they all love so far away we only see them occasionally hopefully once a year and this is not the year to see them for Christmas. We have also had a troublesome year flood damage that has not been fixed from lady January my husband has had two heart ops this year to add to the other two last year.then he got an infection that he is still fighting and is still unwell he is anaemic because of the op so he is quite tired most of the time. We are getting there and we will get there. Your vlogmas and other are giving me good Christmas feeling .we don’t have snow here in Australia at Christmas but days in the high 20 Celsius’s and on Monday it is supposed to be 40 so that will hopefully be a quiet day with no fire sirens.

Can you share a good basic beginner sock pattern? I really want to learn how to knit socks this year :) Where did you find those 9” circulars? I’ve searched online and can’t find them thanks!
